"My daughter has been enrolled at Burke since 1st grade. The first week was very hard to say the least!! Her two front teeth were knock completely loose by a 5th grade boy who punched her on the bus. Furious I went up to the bus barn that night and was VERY impressed! The child was expelled from the bus the remainder of the year. The following morning I brought the incident to the attention of Dr. Camp the principal. The child was not 11 yet so we were unable to file charges against him, he was suspended from school. I have full faith in the administration at Burke! They have a 0 tolerance policy they stick to. My child has thrived there and has been in the accelerated program every year. This year she will be able to take part in their Compus program!! Great school, amazing administration!! The children just need better rearing at home! You can't expect them to make bruised fruit shiny and new again they can only patch what has already been broken!!! STOP BLAMING THE SCHOOLS FOR POOR PARENTING!!!"
"Incredibly terrible school!"
"Uh if you are a teacher, which I doubt. Your spelling needs to improve. We have just moved here. And I do have a child that does have home training. I do have a child that excels in school academically. Here's our first experience at this school. 2.5 weeks to get him enrolled. The first half of his first day he was not engaged at all. He was sent to English as second language class. My son speaks nothing but English. He had to have been judged on his appearance only. He continually gets bullied where I have to keep going up to the school to get them to intervene. His teacher is nice. But niceness has nothing to do with teaching my son. Which could be improved dramatically if she had help. I too regret the day I moved here. It has been a nightmare and continues to be. Could it be worse, yes. But the situation is not, even mediocre."
