Della Lamb Early Education Program

Located at 500 Woodland Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, the Della Lamb Early Education Program offers high-quality early education for children from 6 weeks to pre-kindergarten. Our state-accredited program provides a safe, caring, and educational environment for our little learners. Originally established in 1897 to support low-income widowed and single Italian mothers, our program continues to serve families in need, with 75% qualifying for free or reduced lunch.

We focus on providing quality education, child care, nutrition, nurturing, and supplemental services to prepare children for kindergarten. Our age-appropriate activities are designed to support physical, emotional, social, language, and cognitive development. Additionally, we offer parenting educational skills to promote positive parent-child interactions and family development.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our program hours are currently limited to 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We follow Missouri Eat Smart Program guidelines to ensure that children receive nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day.
