Reviews
"We can not say enough good things about this place. Inside the museum is a wide range of exhibits in a building that has seen remodeling/refreshing in the last several years. The local tourist office is here and very friendly knowledgeable staff. Modern bathrooms very clean. Outside is one the largest railroad equipment we have seen. We took many many photos. The star of the show was a steam locomotive. However getting a photo with clean angles was difficult with all the informational displays around it. There is also a faux/replica covered bridge found on the property. We visited May 2023."
"Enjoyed the trolley tour but the advertisement should have said arrive early because we didn't have any time to enjoy the museum."
"Museum has some interesting things in it. It is free, but you can put a donation in the box before you enter. I wouldn't recommend taking small children. It is a little something to do while you're in Atchison."
"Great place. Many different tours available."
"We finally got around to getting there. It was a wonderful museum to visit. On the day we were there they had their annual event, and so the kids got to ride the miniature train with their grandmother, and climb up into a couple of cars and one of the engines. Atchison has a lot to offer as far as attractions, and this really is a gem."
