"Husband lost eyesight because Dr. McNaughton told him nothing was wrong with his eyes. The next yearly appt the Dr told my husband that "it" was not much worse than last year. He had wet macula degeneration develop within a month of his last visit to Dr. McNaughton."

"My son started seeing Dr McNaughton at under a year old for exotropia. He is very impatient with kids and dismissive of concerns. Fast forward, decided to get a second opinion with the real experts in pediatric ophthalmology at Children’s Mercy. Saw an orthoptist and pediatric ophthalmologist. They did much more extensive exams, testing, addressed concerns. Unfortunately by this time the vision in that eye was impacted. He just had surgical correction. I can’t imagine how severe the loss in vision would have been had we continued to receive care with McNaughton. He actually asked the last time why we were coming in yearly. Wow."

"While traveling out of state, my eyes became very sick. My regular doctor over a Telemed appointment recommended I see an Opthamologist before returning home. I had three days before needing to fly home. I called all over Springfield and even Harrison and no one would see me...EXCEPT.... Dr. Judd McNaughton 's office at Eye Surgeons of Springfield. Not only did they quickly schedule me, but the front desk staff we so friendly. The back office nurse took time to review my history and prep my eyes and was very pleasant. Dr.McNaughton was very professional and easy to talk with...he took great care of me, and I am SO GRATEFUL. I can't totally express the peace of mind I have after seeing him knowing I can safely fly and my eyes are going to be fine! (I ended up have a severe allergic reaction to something...but they should heal up) Thank you!"

"We’ve taken our daughter here for about a year and have always had a great experience. She is only 3 yo and Dr. Mcnaughten has been so helpful at identifying her amblyopia and helping us with a treatment plan to try and avoid surgery. It’s not a children’s office specifically but he’s always been kind to her and explains everything we need to know in detail and in a way that’s helpful to my spouse and me. I feel like we have a partner in addressing my daughters vision and glad to have found someone locally that has helped us!"

"Dr Mcnaughton has the absolute worst bedside manor I have ever experienced. In fact, he was just down right rude and traumatized our son. This is just one of multiple appointments that have been an awful experience. I feel terrible I have tolerated it this long and now I have to pay for that by having a son with a severe eye condition that is now terrified of the eye doctor. Dont get me wrong medically speaking he is great and he knows his stuff, but terrible with children and concerned parents. As a mom, I strongly suggest to never take your child here if want them to have a good experience and feel comfortable going to the eye doctor for years to come. To end it all he told us he didnt have time for him and that he was ruining his day and that we will just have to come back another time. Never will we ever bring him back or recommend this doctor to anyone."
