"We renewed our lease in 1706 and are breaking it due to so many issues. The first year we didn’t have any issues aside from the first day we moved in, our hallway was flooded but the communication was great. We’ve learned that after you renew your lease, the office seems to stop caring and only gives the attention to new clients. Maintenance takes months. We had a intense personal emergency take place on 06/13 in which damaged our garage door. I got a matienence call on 08/15 to get this resolved and at that point, we had already fixed it ourselves. 2 months and 2 days for maintenance. Savoy sends out parking warnings to ensure you’re parking in your garage and/or driveway, even if the garage is damaged, and then ignores you afterwards when reaching out with questions regarding their emails. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable by neighbors before. The older man to our left followed me across my driveway at 10:30pm at night to confront me for gently knocking on his wall for blasting bass guitar, I’m 100lb woman and his exact words were “stop banging on the damn wall,” to try and make me scared. He will flash his back porch lights at us when we’re sitting on our deck talking past 9pm. The neighbors underneath us would bang on the ceiling when my dogs simply bounced a ball, or rolled a bone across the floor at night, not even giving us the chance to grab it from them. If you have active dogs, this is not the place for them to thrive or be happy. My name was asked for by one of them and they pet my dog while outside, then the next time I tried getting ahold of the office (good luck by the way) Rene answered the phone by saying, “LAURA, we are busy in the office right now and will have to call you back” which was one of the uttermost rude, unprofessional things I’ve ever witnessed from somewhere that’s supposed to take care of you, especially when I’m reaching out in attempt to get my apartment fixed for the 10th time. If your neighbors ever so much slightly complain about you, which were dogs bouncing balls by the way! The office will side with them, not ask for your side and make it the most uncomfortable living situation you’ve ever witnessed. Once this Rene person took office, it’s all been down hill from there. Breaking a lease is expensive, but worth it to get out of here. We went in to sign our move out forms and to confirm what our move our statement would be - Rene told us “I don’t know, whatever it says in your email, I speak to so many people every day” but wouldn’t you think you’d have it together when someone is paying you thousands of dollars? How many of those people you spoke to were breaking their lease? We received a bill from the outside utility company from July, after we had already moved out in August. Rene told us to pay it, another at the office said it’s just for our records. They are a mess and just want your money. Caring for you and your unit is the least of their priorities, they are full of lies. If you need any help regarding this complex, escalate it to Sarah, the regional manager at Griffis Blessing. Sarah gave us $150 in credit for our garage door never being fixed by Savoy, and actually explained the utility issue mentioned above to where it made sense. I wanted to wait to post this review till our final bill came, after our unit inspection 10/17, because knowing Savoy, they’ll be mad about this review, take it personally and try and upcharge us for being simply truthful about their so-called, stress inducing community. We are well aware of the unfortunate carpet and blind damage from our new puppy we had while there, in which we have done basic calculations on what to expect. Our experience has quite literally been so bad though, that this needs to be posted now so others are made aware of this toxicity. The ladies running this place will take things personally, which their boss is made aware of. Luxury apartments is a joke - aside from an attached garage and bathtub jets, everything is outdated. I’ll say it once and say it so many more times, RUN AWAY!"
"I have been renting at Savoy for ~5 years now. It was a great apartment complex with a fantastic management. Since the management changed hands, it has been going downhill since then. Rents have increased manifold but quality of services especially Maintainence have declined leaps & bounds. I have had a broken dryer for over 4 months now and it has not been fixed and we are in the middle of Kansas winters. Maintainence request is closed out as ‘Complete’ when it’s not been complete. Most of the times no one answers calls at the leasing office to hear your grievances even during open office hours. No availability of package drops are available and all USPS packages are sent back as they don’t fit the mail box. I was been charged over $100 for Renters Insurance which they didn’t have on file even though I had already subscribed for it. No upgrades have been made to my apartment but rents have been increased manifold. My carpet nor any of my appliances have been replaced or upgraded even with 5 years in the same apartment. It’s a run down place now with rude office staff and manager."
"Do not live here unless you want to live without a working dryer for weeks without any timeline for when it will get fixed. My family has gone to the office 4 times, and still have not gotten any useful update for when our dryer will be fixed. We were told we cannot be reimbursed for an outside maintenance company fixing our dryer, nor offered any other tangible solution. On top of that, they have been renovating empty units, instead of maintaining ones with paying tenants living in them- simply unbelievable. Edit - As previously stated, we contacted the office on 4 separate occasions, in person. If you care about our comfort, please fix the dryer in Apartment 2304. This Friday will be 3 weeks with no working dryer."
"Don't live here if you expect anything to get done. The service is horrible if you're even able to find someone in the office to help you and it takes maintance 5-6 weeks to repair anything. There is nothing "luxarious" about this place don't live here if you want to save your time and money, it's way too overpriced for the quaillty of living and tenants all around the complex are leaving. Edit: Their reply is false. We actually had the request submitted on July 26th. My wife called the office on Aug 1st to get a rough estimate, they said their 5-6 weeks behind schedule. When she asked for a corporate number to see what was going on (and because we still dont have an updated copy of our lease), the lady up at the office was hellbent on not giving her the number. We still don't have a corporate number to talk with anyone to resolve any issues we're having. They chalk it up to being "understaffed" when in reality the staff skates so hard you'd think its the 80s. They're lying on these replies to keep their reputation clean to keep people coming in. Avoid this place like the plague."
