"I lived here for 2 years. They told me when I dropped keys off that I was completely settled & good to go. Apparently after I moved out they then charged me $300 without telling me. It seems they sent the bill straight to collections without notifying me... Now I had to call the collections agency, pay them instead, & take a hit on my credit score because this management charged me for who knows what. Greasy. Also the walls are PAPER THIN."
"If I could move out now, I would. I have been living here for 8 months now and my biggest complaint is the noise. I have never been bothered by noise before, and I have lived in much more lively places than this. The walls are clearly lacking proper insulation and the management does not do anything about noise complaints. The family above me lets their two kids under 6 run around all day until 1am. So if you have to live here, do not risk it and get a spot on the top floor. Another big issue is that your packages will never get delivered. The mailboxes are just out in the open with no cameras around. Most delivery companies choose not to use the lockers but instead just drop your package in front of the lockers. Obviously some thieves in the area have caught wind of this. It is incredibly weird and cheap of prairie fire to not have a mailroom that locks or at the very least install cameras in the area. Lastly, each building does not have a garbage chute. Instead, you have to take a pretty long walk across the parking lot to take out your trash. This sounds like a minor inconvenience until the sidewalks and roads are covered in a thick layer of ice for weeks and you can't even make the walk to the dumpster. Thank you for not shoveling the sidewalks and letting it freeze!"
"My experience with Residents at Prairie Fire is outstanding!! First and foremost the management is always around to help with any of your needs or issues you may have if there is any. Maintenance is always there if you call. And there at a timely manner. The complex is beautiful and always well kept. Love this place!! Would recommend to anyone, a place you can call home."
"Building 9 stinks. If you've ever cleaned out a bathroom drain and pulled out a huge lump of hair and black goo, you know the smell. It's so intense it's nauseating. The person I visited has a nice-smelling apartment only because they use a ton of heavy, perfume-like air freshener. The halls and elevator reek. As an elderly person, I have been in many homes and apartments in my long life. I have stayed in cheap motels on several continents. I've visited hospitals, nursing homes, and animal shelters. Building 9 is the second foulest building I have ever had the misfortune to enter. My only agenda in writing this is the hope that the owners will literally clean up their act. The tenants do not deserve to live with this utter miasma."
"It's awesome to be back in our Prairiefire home again in our favorite community. A huge shoutout to Tracy, we greatly appreciate everything you have done for us, the residents, and the community, thank you! The entire office team assisted us with the move in process, which was flawless. Maintenance addressed our concerns promptly and were very nice. Our 2 bedroom layout is spacious and comes with a garage for additional storage, which fits our needs. The kitchen has a ton of counter space/storage. The showers are really nice and the tub is excellent. The common areas do need some updates, such as new paint/carpeting, etc., and some cleaning is in order. Once inside your apartment though it sure is homey. Sometimes it is just best to stay put and enjoy - where else but Prairiefire."
