"Looking to work here? READ BEFORE YOU APPLY. Now I've worked here for about 10 years and left to find something with better morale for my happiness. It has great pay, insurance benefits, 3 weeks of vacation every year with more added every milestone you hit, a yearly "incentive bonus" based on yours and the plants performance and a few good coworkers(keep reading). BUT... A few negatives here, in my opinion. The morale here is dying. You will see it the longer you work here. Coworkers complain too much and create false rumors. "Rumor mills." Moving up here can be very easy, but they tend to put bad and toxic people as "leaders" of production lines. Favoritism is definitely a thing here. Quarterly meetings can be a bit annoying when they avoid a question from an issue they always push on its employees. "OH, we are just testing a new system. If it gets a bad response, we will revise it." Not true if it benefits the higher ups and not the employee that works there almost all week. Also, if you are an employee that goes by the book rules and someone disagrees, they put a target on your back to get you in trouble or fired over something you did not do. Their attendance point system is out of date compared to other manufacturers in the area. So when they say, "We try to be a competitive employer in the area," it is definitely not true. If you're an operator and something is wrong with your machine but it's still running, they will wait till it breaks and ask, "Why didn't you tell us or make a work order?" We did, but you put a bandaid solution on it cause all you care about is production numbers and NOT safety. So, nothing gets done unless you bring the general manager into the problem. Seen people cry over stressful situations that could have been fixed by leadership. Lots of overtime since no one wants to work their shift. The only improvement here is HR, but it still needs work. They used to shove HR Direct in your face to fix your problems. It's a system where you talk to a robot or someone you can't understand clearly. But they backed away from that. Hope they keep it that way. The FMLA, Short Term Disability or any leave you need that you qualify after a year here is run by the worst reviewed company Sedgwick. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! You'll be using your vacation days before they consider federal offered leave for serious issue. They need to change that bad... When they ask for feedback or engagement survey, not a lot of employees do it, so it's obviously not helping. Lastly, emails, apps, and digital systems are starting to be pushed here. It's convenient, but not all use them, so it's very inconsistent on communication. When they are told about how not everyone uses these systems, they won't try to find a better solution that works digital and NON DIGITAL. Seen a lot of these issues happen to good employees. You have been warned. So, if you're planning to work here, be prepared. Good luck, and enjoy the pizza parties for your achievements."
"Google wants you to go down the road that's not meant for trucks just go to the next road it's not a big deal. From there the signs are super clear which I super appreciate. My appointment was at 5:30 I got here at 5:00 stopped at security they want your ID etc nothing surprising there. You'll park off to the side in a staging area and then they will call you when your door is ready. They want your refer off but they don't necessarily start on time I'm now almost 7:00 p.m. and my reefer is still off My trailer's got to be at least 50° so they lost a star for that."
"Arrived at 16:15 for a 04:00 appointment tomorrow. They gave us a door right away. Unloading was about an hour. Received paperwork shortly after. Awesome staff and easy back in Wish all stops were like this one!!!"
"It may take a while in some cases, but I didnt mind waiting. Guard shack gal was welcoming, funny and polite. They will check your reefer temp and the inside of trailer. You will be asked to wait in staging area until being called for a dock. There is a dog doo doo area, trucker lounge and real bathrooms."
"Check in at guard shack , then go to left after guard shack for stage parking . Guard came to me to let me know when they got door open for me , they got me loaded full trailer less than 1hr and they leave seal for you in the back of trailer . As soon as you get green light you can pull out and go to guard shack for BOLs"
