Reviews of The Lofts at 415
"heard bad things but a lots changed so it's not that bad people are responsive and nice neighbors"
"The apartments are nice inside. My apartment wasn’t deep cleaned when I moved in which I thought was odd especially during covid times. My bathroom reeked of urine and there were things left from the previous renter. Windows are leaky and UPS and other delivery services have no access to the building so you will go days without receiving your packages because they simply can’t get in. Management never responded to this issue either. The only thing this place has going for it is elevated ceilings and a decent community of people who live here. Other than that I think management could do better with this apartment. Especially regarding the price of rent."
"A very nice apartment. Of course it had its issue (leaky windows, and constantly smelled like pot). But I had a great view from my apartment, and a great balcony. Once management changed, they got rid of free cable, but they did reply to apartment issues more quickly. And the women in the office were always friendly."
"From day one, it was a hassle. We were shown two apartments. One was not what requested. It was a two bedroom. We specifically said we needed a three bedroom. The other was filthy and reeked of cat/dog urine. I mean, it was unbearable, and it was carpeted. However, we remained patient and told the leasing agent that we would wait for a different apartment to come available. We got a call a shortly after that another apartment that fit our needs was available. I went to view it immediately. She didn’t show up, so I called and they sent a different leasing person to meet me there. It was perfect, however, it also reeked of cat urine. Alas, I was patient as the leasing agent told me that they had a deodorizing machine that would “suck the smell out.” She said she’d have “her people” come in and clean and paint it and deodorize it. Awesome. A week passes and I call her because she failed to update or follow up with me. A different agent offers to work with me. Great. I remain patient and wait another week. At this point, my lease is quickly coming to an end where I was currently living. We scheduled a final walkthrough before signing, and sure enough, NOTHING had been done. No painting. NO CLEANING. And still reeked if cat pee, of course. So, “good news,” another apartment comes open. It was actually not bad. Needed basic cleaning and touch up paint around light switches, regular wear and tear, and trim needed cleaned and repainted in areas. Thank goodness, no pet odor. So we signed, and moved in shortly thereafter. Of course the touch paint they used did not match the existing paint on the walls. The trim was untouched. Only the super obvious stuff was cleaned. I’d also like to mention that they advertised the floors as “polished concrete.” It’s not. We did our own deep cleaning of the apartment. I also requested that someone come fix the paint. They never showed. I went to the leasing office, and after an unproductive conversation, I was offered to do it myself. Ha. Whatever. So, moving forward, we have done our best to make it our “home.” The aesthetic is second to none, really. But of course, more bs ensues. Mostly the elevator. It breaks down very few months. And sometimes it’s a few days. Other occasions it has been weeks. Last time, over a month. Well, lucky us, we get ready to leave today and the elevator is broken. Again. We live in the sixth floor. The stairwell is not air conditioned. It’s not awful with nothing to carry, however, we have young kids. I have gear that I have to take to work and bring home. We have groceries. We have elderly family members that like to visit us at our home but cannot because of the ongoing elevator situation. There is a disabled woman that lives below us that cannot come or go when the elevator is down. There’s also a family moving in today! On top of all of that, during heavy rain, the walls seep water. It’s because of a known issue with the roof. It’s ruined area rugs and curtains. The staff has a 1-2 people that actually seem to care and the maintenance guys have been super cool. Outside of that, the others seem to be very annoyed. As if I shouldn’t be concerned about water coming into our home when it rains. Our apartment in particular is beautiful, but it has also been a nightmare. We cannot wait for our lease to expire so we can get out."
"Since the 1st hour of moving into our apartment it was a complete nightmare. Prior to moving in my wife and I requested to view the loft we would be living in on multiple occasions. We requested to view it by phone and by email. Each and every time we were told it was being made ready and would be able to view it the week of our move in. I asked twice in that week when we could schedule to view the apartment but nothing was ever said. We walked into our new loft and found that we just signed a lease for the wrong apartment! The apartment we were supposed to be moving into was a corner apartment, 3 bedrooms, and all windows in the living room. We had no idea there was more than one layout to a 3 bedroom because no one told us! We were only told that the one we were renting had carpet. My wife and I even told the leasing staff that we wanted the 3 bedroom specifically for the many windows in the living room and bedroom so carpet wasn't an issue. The apartment smelled of wet dogs so bad. There were holes and tears in the carpet. There were rugs glued to the vinyl of the kitchen floor. The kitchen sink sprayer was broken. Trash left behind, hiding behind the cabinets. The master bath tub stopper was detached and broken with massive amounts of hair in the drain. There was so much dirt on the doors throughout the apartment it made the doors look off-white. The master bath light fixture was missing a light bulb and the shower had no water pressure. There was food residue on the walls throughout the kitchen and in the pantries. The Leasing's response, "Since you guys aren't my people I'm not sure how to handle this. But if you were my people then I would just be like, 'oh yeah, it's cool'." SERIOUSLY!?!?!?! My wife even asked if this apartment was 1300 square feet and Leasing responded with, "oh, I don't know". During the tour Leasing proceeds to tell us how bad the carpet and apartment used to be and even shows us a picture of what the carpet looked like from the previous renter and "how bad" the apartment really looked before they cleaned it! After an hour or so Leasing comes back to tell me they will be fixing the carpet, scheduling the carpets to be re-cleaned on Monday (this was a Friday), and we will be given $450 off our next month's rent per the manager. She also told us we would be placed on the top of the list for a transfer to the actual unit we were supposed to be renting. 30 days into renting our loft and we've already had issues with the discount we were to be given. There was no talk of us receiving $450 off our rent. Apparently that was made up and the manager never said anything about a discount; however, it was given to us anyways. Carpets were never scheduled to be cleaned so my wife and I just said we would do it ourselves. My wife had to call the office many times regarding the next available 3 bedroom for us to transfer to because no one had contacted us. We found out through their website that one was available. After calling the office consistently to find out when an appointment could be made to view the available unit on the 7th floor, and even discussing this with the Assistant Manager who was also informed if we love the apartment after viewing we will move in asap, an appointment was finally made with the Leasing person who moved us in. It was for 930am Monday. My wife called to confirm the appointment and we are told the apartment was rented and the next available was our current floor plan on the 6th floor minus the carpet. But yet, we were the next on the list to transfer. No one communicates. Leasing laughs like its all a joke to her. No one knows what their doing, how to actually lease an apartment, or how to even treat a future or current resident. I used to work in property management. If I found out this happened and how my staff handled it there would be new leasing positions available immediately. I have never felt so disrespected, unimportant, and more of a burden as I have just in an hour of moving here. And it's unfortunate that things will never get better."
