Palmier TMS - St. Louis

"Due to genetics and some chronic physical issues I have dealt with depression for some years. I have tried several medications, but I have always had terrible side effects and was not able to tolerate them. My therapist suggested I give TMS a try. After some initial hesitation and plenty of research, I finally decided to give it a go. My experience with Palmier was well above my expectations. Everybody from start to finish was great. I first met with Jason. He helped explain the overall process and showed me around the facility to help me get comfortable with the place and meet some of the people who would be helping me. Tracy and Sam helped me with getting insurance worked out. Dr. Khojasteh was careful in making sure that I was a good candidate for TMS and had no contraindications. I was nervous about my first treatment, but Dr. K and Sam helped put me at ease, and my husband was allowed to stay with me, too. It isn't anything like the horrific electric shock scenes you see in a movie, mostly because this isn't the same thing. The treatment is much gentler than that, almost like someone tapping on your head. Sam did most of my treatments thereafter, and she was always so good about making sure each treatment went well and that I was fully comfortable. She also was a very compassionate listener during the sessions on days that I wasn't feeling my best. She really seems to enjoy her job and helping people. She also helped schedule my visits each week and went above and beyond with squeezing me in at different times on days when something came up. She was always very quick to respond to any communications or needs. Overall I am feeling better now than when I started. My depression and anxiety scores both went down. My husband and therapist both said they can see a difference, so it was worth the money and time investment. I would highly recommend Palmier to anyone who is trying to decide whether to get TMS treatment or where to go to have it done. Each person there is truly there to help you and make sure your experience is the best possible, and they will treat you with kindness and compassion every step of the way."
