"If you’re in extreme pain and need services within a reasonable amount of time, don’t waste your time here. Staff waits weeks to call back to schedule a shot even if you’re in extreme pain. This has now happened twice. I had to call them to get an answer. The first time they blamed it on short staffing and they forgot to call me. The second time, well I’m still waiting for the phone call so I have no idea what the excuse is. I called several days ago to find out what the problem is and why it’s taking so long and had to leave a voicemail. Told them my info and the situation and no call back. Seems like this office doesn’t have their patients best interests in mind."

"Bad experience... I went in to find out what Dr. Shelton could do for my back pain - the possibility was to get a shot in my back. When the Dr. finally came into the room, he did explain what was going on and what he could do but he did so at a very fast pace and in terms that were a bit above me. We did talk for a bit, and I tried to get clarifications, but he was in a hurry. He told me he was behind schedule and also recognized that he often spoke "Dr. language" and not "everyday person" language. I did not feel comfortable with him being in a hurry to do anything to me, nor did I feel I was being serviced or cared for (to be a patient). He left the room without a "goodbye" and therefore I walked out of the office without a goodbye or saying anything to anyone. No nurse, receptionist, no one noticed my departure (nor probably cared....). To the Dr.'s credit, he DID call me that evening and apologized for the way I was treated. Again, he admitted he was in a hurry, and that he didn't always make himself clear by how he speaks. I have opted not to return to an office/Dr. who cannot relate to his patients or zips through what is routine for him, but scary to others (stick a needle into my back/spine????). To make the situation sadder? I received a bill for the office visit: After insurance paid out, I was left with a $18.00 bill. Not much, for sure, but I called the office and asked if they would waive the $18.00 due to the Dr.'s admitted poor service to me (being in a hurry and not answering my questions in a way I could understand). After several calls, I was told by Molly that Jody and the Dr. were consulted and that they would NOT waive the $18.00 charges. I guess the office has upset enough people that they are in dire need of all the money they can get. The Dr. who referred me to this Dr. has stated he will not be sending anyone else to him due to all these factors. If you plan to go, be sure you catch him/the office on a slow day! (and good luck!)"

"I’ve never had a doctor care as much as doctor sheldon does. He truly cares about addressing issues and reaching the cause instead of throwing medication at me. I’ve had other pm doctors throw meds and tell me they couldn’t do anything else. I felt doomed to pills to have any quality of life. He has done procedures that help me get my life back. With the help of the procedures, I was able to work with physical therapy pain free and eventually get out of my wheelchair. It’s been a long, hard road which I felt I was walking alone. Doctor Sheldon and his staff have been my guardian angels showing me I’ll never be alone with him looking over my care."

"It's tough to love a pain management clinic because when you first start going, your pain is out of control, and you are pissed at the world. I've been going here for over five years and they are like family now. They truly care about their patients. Drs. Malo and Shelton, Nurse Practitioners Bonnie and Jenny, Nurse Rebecca and so many others are truly wonderful people. Just remember that everybody has a bad day, and a hug or handshake with a smile can and will go a long way!"

"I will never set foot in Pain Physicians clinic in Fenton, Mo. it took myself and my doctors office calling for two weeks straight, and they would not believe that no referral was needed for my insurance before they called me to set an appointment. When they finally called they were rude, tell me it wasn't her job to contact my insurance company to verify that I didn't need a referral and that they're super busy. They told me that they would get to me when they had the time. Needless to say I'm finding another place to go."
