"just got out today, staff was absolutely amazing! dr tucker had my best interest at heart and helped me through my episode and get the help i need, thank you !"
"While I got my basic needs taken care of here and left physically nourished and well-rested (which I'm grateful for), the doctors here failed to take care of my psychological and spiritual needs. I needed to be Socratically questioned to go deeper, yet I did not receive this from a table of doctors.... They listened, took notes, and diagnosed me with a diagnosis that was not only false, but damaging to my self-perception. I didn't receive compassionate, patient-centered care in this regard when in individual therapy, though I enjoyed the group therapies. And though I study psychology myself, I lacked the knowledge that the doctors could have given me had they asked deeper questions or informed me of what they were observing, gently challenged my beliefs and thoughts, and got in touch with my history and the struggles I was currently dealing with when I arrived for a week in March 2022. From this, I'd like to impart areas where this system could grow and heal at the roots with a suggestion that will foster more of a patient-centered approach: Basically, what we need to do is account for demographics and patient history--such as trauma history, current lifestyle, habits and coping methods, relationship issues (personal and professional), spiritual/religious beliefs, current diagnoses, symptoms, and ask for individual needs. This is so that everyone is taken care of to the fullest extent and their feelings and needs are accounted for and met with care. How will this help? Let me use a metaphor of a tree: it stands tall, yet goes deep and we often fail to think of the roots and how that holds everything together. So when we do not account for the roots of the issue and focus on the part that we do see, we often fall into the trap of judgment and misunderstanding. When we go deeper by releasing these, we find understanding and compassion... And with understanding and compassion, we can meet people where they are and be a safe, healing presence that will provide the best care for patients. I do not wish to blame the doctors, yet hope that my review helps the system function a little more optimally in the future so that no one has to struggle with a false diagnosis again. Thank you for your care, Megan S."
"They helped me when I needed it the most"
"They treated me nice."
"Who gave this decrepit horror story 5 stars? A nightmare. Can you imagine that doctors actually laugh at you when you're low? Go to this deficit POS drop off and you will see a total disregard for anyone."
