"Never in my life would I have expected a therapist to look me in my eyes as I was crying, trying to explain how I felt about what I experienced, and invalidate my feelings and experiences in such a callous way. Tanya is honestly so terrible as a therapist that her license should be revoked. She has no idea how to communicate at all, and if you don't understand what she's trying to say, she will get frustrated and angry with you. She claims she practices EMDR, but did absolutely none of the pre-work required before you begin EMDR sessions. Honestly I think she just bought the EMDR machine and never actually had any training on it besides maybe watching one YouTube video on how to do it. A therapist should have empathy. A therapist should never invalidate your feelings or experiences. A therapist should be an excellent communicator, and if one method of communication isn't working, they should be able to find another way to communicate. A therapist should not use modalities they don't actually know how to do. Tanya Fisher is not a therapist. At best she's a terrible life coach. Stay far, far away."
