"We can here to celebrate a birthday during restaurant week and it did not disappoint. From the ambiance, to the food, and to the knowledgeable waitress Rachel! Everything was delicious and I plan on coming back!"
"I can't comment on the food because we never received it and after waiting an hour, we finally left. Our food was delivered to another table, we were told multiple times it was coming any minute. Our waitress finally came to tell us what happened and said it would be 4 more minutes. 10 minutes later, a manager finally came by (this is after 3 tables who sat and ordered after us received their food) and told us that our food was being expedited. When my husband asked how much longer? She couldn't confirm if it would be 15, 20 or 30 minutes. We couldn't stick around any longer and had to leave. While they offered to comp our meal, we didn't have the time to wait. Customer service 101- while I feel a lot of things could have occurred differently to lessen the poor experience the one suggestion I'd leave is... the manager should have offered up a gift card for a future meal. This was our first experience and now our last."
"The open air bar and open kitchen restaurant combine with open air views of the downtown Kansas City area. The food is all top notch, and the service is very accommodating. Roberto helped me find a nice section of the bar to eat dinner while looking out the window wall at the cityscape. It was a perfect end to a great trip!"
"Our second time to this place. Excellent views of downtown no matter where you're sitting. Great ambience. Our server, Rachelle was very attentive. Great service. Loved the cocktails and the food."
"Beautiful airy space and very comfortable. The bar is huge and gorgeous. They seated us right next to a single diner which was a little awkward since there were so many empty tables. Our server was excellent and gave good recommendations for ordering. We started with the charcuterie which didn't have a ton of different items on it (2 meats 2 cheeses, a jam, mustard, beets, apples & nuts), but what it had was excellent quality. There was also plenty of bread which I feel is often a struggle with a charcuterie. We followed with the beet & carrot salad, which was also tasty. The carrots were nicely cooked and it was all in a good vinaigrette. The caramelized onion tart was a let down. The onions weren't particularly caramelized and the were in some sort of heavy, thick custard? that was dry. The pastry was seriously overcooked. The server recommended the pork adobo which was also good. The meat was tender and was sitting on a bed of super silky sweet potatoes. It was sprinkled with brussel sprout leaves that were super salty but added a great contrast to the richness of the pork. The dessert was a huge fail. We had a honey cheesecake that was dense with a soggy crust and some weird milk sauce that tasted like brown nothing. It was oddly room temperature too. We didn't even finish it which is unheard of for us! I would go back, as it was a great location for pre theater. It would also be a nice spot for hanging out for a drink."
