Dr. Susan Ratliff, Pediatric Partners, PA

"So recently my daughter just turned 8 months old and few days later she was scheduled earlier to come in for her 9 months old check-up. Since my daughter usual pediatrician wasn't available on the day of my daughter appointment, we were seen with Dr. Ratliff. Overall Dr. Ratliff stated that my daughter health and growth is doing well except for her developmental skills. From her body language and tone of voice, she expected too much from my premature baby (8 months) already to develop 9 months old developmental skills. I don't know if she understand this, but some babies are fast learner and others are slow. Just because some babies show "signs" that they are slow learner doesn't mean that they are failing their goals. You cannot push parents to force their child to learn on your time. Every child learn differently and they learn on their own pace of time. Anyway I understand that Dr. Ratliff might just be expressing her concerns, but at the end of the visit, I feel like she was belittling my daughter because she expected too much from her."

"Dr. Ratliff was amazing for our daughter. She took care of her for the first year before we had to move and helped us get into an amazing doctor were we moved. She always took the time to answer all of our questions and I feel like she went above and beyond for our family."

"My daughter has seen Dr. Rat ever since she was born. She is 4 now and we haven't seen her in a little over a year because of the pandemic. We felt she was healthy and we didn't want to go out if we could avoid it. I called today feeling it has now become a safer and I could get her in for a well visit. I was told they discharged her because she didn't come earlier this year for her well visit. Dr. Ratliff has cut off my 4 yr old and told us she will never see my child again. And I was told that all of her partners are in agreement with her decision. I'm disgusted by this as my daughter has only known this Dr. since she was born. What a horrible thing to do to children. You didn't get your money for wellness visits so you kick a 4 yr old to the curb. You are a disgusting person and I pray your practice gets shut dow."

"We began seeing Dr. Ratliff when Dr. Blum retired. We have been patients since our children were born. She sees my daughter-10yo, son-7yo. I really like her and her style of care. I work in the healthcare field and have been extremely pleased w/Dr. Ratliff and the entire staff at Pediatric Partners from front office to nurses/nurse practitioners. We rarely wait more than a few minutes to see someone (scheduled or urgent care). I am very grateful for their weekend/after hours urgent care, b/c my kids always seem to get sick during "non-business" hours. What I love most about Dr. Ratliff is she talks to my children (direct questions, eye contact) about their health/safety. Not just me doing all conversing. It helps them take ownership in their bodies and lifestyles-can't ever start too young! She is also very laid back (jeans/t-shirt) which I appreciate and makes her less intimidating to my kids. The only negative thing I can say is when my son got his flu shot fall 2016, he freaked out-nurses handled it pretty well...later I wondered if they weren't booked so heavily for it then maybe he wouldn't have gotten so afraid. Very rushed kind of an appointment (flu shot clinic). Only time I have ever left feeling like appointment was a little "off". Office is very up-to-date, clean."

"We saw Dr. Ratliff today for the second time ever. Both experiences were terrible. The first time we saw her was for a well-child visit and this time was a follow-up to an ear infection for my 7 year old. She is so focused on everything except what you are there for. She believes that only she knows what is best for your child and is extremely opinionated. She told me today that my child has a cavity, which she doesn't! It was food on her tooth and she was just looking at her throat. She insinuates that you are not caring properly for your child. In this visit, she told me that kids "should not miss school unless they are throwing up or running a fever" and "should watch a maximum of 1 hour of TV per day (for teenagers)". She must be the perfect person, perfect mother and perfect doctor - whatever! We will NEVER see her again!!!!!!!!"
