St. Joseph Metro Treatment Center 3935 Sherman Avenue, Saint Joseph, MO 64506
About the Business
St. Joseph Metro Treatment Center is a health institution located at 3935 Sherman Avenue in Saint Joseph, Missouri, United States. This center offers a Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program for individuals struggling with opioid addiction. The program combines medication with counseling to address both the physiological and psychological aspects of addiction.
One of the advantages of MAT is that patients can continue with their daily activities such as work and family responsibilities while undergoing treatment. This helps them learn how to cope with their addiction within their current environment. Methadone is one of the medications used in the MAT program, which is FDA-approved and highly effective in stopping withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
In addition to methadone, buprenorphine and Suboxone are also used in the treatment plan to suppress withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Counseling is a key component of the program, helping patients understand the nature of addiction and develop resilient plans for long-lasting success. The center offers individual, group, and family counseling sessions to support patients in their recovery journey.

"I've tried a few methadone clinics, this one is the best I've seen. They do have a few rules that seem rather stupid, but they have gov oversight, so ya have to deal with that kind of BS anywhere you go. They are definitely the nicest and the friendliest out of all the ones T have been to. Update... the staff that you interact with i.e. the counclers and the nurses are definitely very nice and appear to be honestly intrested in the clients wellbeing, however it took a few months...like 6 or 8 months for the office staff to get my VA insurance worked out and I had to pay cash in the meantime. That was over 2 years ago and they still have not re-embersed a single Penney however I verified with the Va the were paid twice once by me and once by the Va. Should be a law against that sort of thing. I believe it is called fraudulent billing.... If they end up owning you money don't expect to see it soon...however if you owe them and can not pay the will start detoxing you, they did to me when I told them I get paid in 3 days ... they detoxed me for those 3 days. Good luck if you have no other options."
"Great place. Great counclers. Clean. They have clean bathrooms. Very friendly staff. They have the new check in mobile system so it saves your spot in line. They are fair. Some of the rules are a little silky but they don't set those, Corporate does. So it's not the staffs fault at this location. They probably saved my life. The doctors is very helpful and understanding. She listens. The nurse is a godsend. And the counclers are top of the line."
"Nicest staff I've encountered at any treatment facility. Great nurses and, caring Dr."
"Well don't expect them to understand you are going through tough times and need them to work with you on payments cause it's either pay or suffer. I don't think it's rite. But that's just me."
"Great program it really works if you stick with it I love the counselors I love the doctor they saved my life"
