"I guess I was in on a bad day. The brewery had some big freaking release of a bourbon barrel beer and the lady in front of me never brewed before so he spent a lot of time answering all her questions, good for her bad for me. After 30 minutes of waiting for him to finish with her I just ended up buying a kit and getting the heck out of there. The plan was to get a beer when we were done shopping but was not waiting in line, the beer is good but not that good. Don't think I'll go back, really frustrated. I couldn't find a few things and gave up on making my preferred beer and will use kit to get my son started. He was out of flaked oats, may have had more but I'll never know and there were other thing I didn't see but may have been there too. Seemed very friendly and helpful but I needed some of his time and didn't want to wait any longer"
"This is the best place to buy homebrew equipment, and ingredients to make your own brew. Marc is so helpful, whether you’re a beginner or an expert this is the place to go, I could not be more pleased with my experience. This place is also a great place to grab a beer, at least 10 beers on tap, grab a beer and sit and talk about beer, what more could you ask for!"
"Amazing prices for a local shop. Super nice and helpful staff. An utterly shocking selection of ingredients and equipment. This is my go to store for anything beer related. I'll order from them over online the vast majority of the time. If they don't carry something they can and will order it for you."
"I bought the ingredients for a beer kit on their opening day, and I have had great interactions each and every time I go in since then. The staff are knowledgeable, cordial, and more than willing to provide assistance to brewers of basic to advanced skills all around. The amount of product on hand is fantastic, offering a wide variety of options for beer and wine makers not only for ingredients, but for equipment and supplies. Having D2B so close by has helped revitalize my interest in brewing and I can’t wait to put on that next batch. Cheers!"
"Design2Brew may have quality ingredients at good prices, but their Basic Wine Making Sessions are a poor excuse for a memorable, interactive experience. My sister bought the basic wine making session for the two of us to have a sister’s day out, and enjoy the activity of wine making together. We were beyond disappointed with the session and the owner's lack of professionalism. Basically, Design2Brew is selling their customers an experience you will not receive. Design2Brew claims their first wine making session will run one hour, and ours lasted a grand total of 15 minutes. I’ll save you the suspense – as a paying customer, you will pour grape juice, clay, and a few other pre-packaged ingredients into a 6-gallon bucket, seal it, and leave. The experience isn’t worth the gas to drive to their store. We were told to wear “clothes we didn’t mind getting dirty,” which is comical because the only items we touched were packets of ingredients, and the bucket. Charging a $55 “on premise fee” is criminal. If we had known all we were doing is mix ingredients in a bucket, we would have bought a home-kit and saved that $55. Or better yet, never stepped foot into their store at all. Their website is inaccurate and falsely advertises. Trust me, save your money and skip this place. Spending any money to essentially make wine-lemonade in their store is a rip off."
