"Very nice display with plenty to do! Although we missed the book reading held on MLK day, we enjoyed the various other workshops and exhibits on site."
"I only expected limited exhibition space but there’s a fair amount. The exhibits were excellent overall, although one is starting to look a little dusty. Could definitely spend an entire afternoon here with patient kid learners (there’s also a dedicated hands-on area for the littler ones), or an entire day if you can recharge at the cafe (it was closed the day I visited)."
"Missouri History Museum is a nice little museum. While small in size, there is a lot to do especially if you're looking for something to bring the kids to. We went during the day and there was plenty of kids around, probably a school trip. There was a lot of fun things that kids can do like color the walls in the architecture area. The photos I took reminded me of my mother's old kitchen before she had it redone. Quite a history, worth a visit on a trip to STL."
"Excellent free museum with seasonal rotating exhibits. In fall of 2023 there were great features on Missouri history over 150 yrs into the past, and outstanding feature on traditional and changing architecture, and they have flyers on several other fantastic free Missouri museums. Appropriate and engaging for all ages. Very clean well maintained facility including all exhibits, the small restaurant, and clean restrooms. A great stop for our family."
"My hubby and I took a lovely little walk to the museum and went inside to cool off. The exhibits are free. It is cool and quiet and the perfect place to be still and quiet for a moment. I colored on the walls, and the coloring area goes on and on taking you on a fantastic interactive architectural journey through the city. We are new to the area and this was the best introduction to the city. I plan to walk to as many of these majestic locations as possible. The sports exhibit was a lot of fun. My hubby beat me at foosball, we watched a couple of young boys challenge each other in a soccer video game projected on the wall, all good fun. I appreciate the museum so much, just for being something so special and accessible."
