"The patient advocate of this hospital needs to be fired! She is absolutely ZERO help. It does this facility no good to have an “advocate” who continually drops the ball when it comes to patient care. I was admitted and inpatient when I requested to speak to this individual, she was suppose to escalate my concerns above her and completely left me hanging! Never following back up after she left my room stating “I’ll be right back.” 3 hours later she was still nowhere to be found. Resulting a nurse in the unit stepping in and taking the complaint. After discharge I got into contact with the patient advocate once more and now she wants to handle the complaint through the mail as I am no longer a patient and discharged at this time. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she came back saying “she will take the complaint.” You tell me how much sense it makes for me to make a complaint against the patient advocate to the patient advocate!?!? Absolutely awful. She also needs to work on her attitude. I caution this hospital to review this individual and make some changes!"
"If youre going to use their service ask for payment details in full before getting treatment. Hidden fees and charges of undisclosed amounts will surprise you weeks after surgery. Service was fine but very shady when total bills are triple what I was told and agreed to on day of my surgery."
"If I could give 0 stars I would. I was admitted for severe back pain and previous fracture. I was told I was being admitted for pain control and to see orthopedics the following day. Absolutely NONE of this happened. ALL of my medications were withheld from me, including my antidepressants. I spent my entire stay here crying and begging for basic care on absolutely no sleep. I wasn’t allowed to have my sleeping medication or any of the medications I’ve been on for years. Not even for fasting or anything, I was denied because the doctor didn’t feel like it. Not one of the doctors took me seriously. I was never offered food or given a way to order anything. I spent all night and morning BEGGING for basic medications that I am prescribed just to be denied. I have never felt so humiliated during a hospital stay. This is absolutely insane. I was never treated for the issue I was admitted for, I was denied my sleeping medication, antidepressants, stomach medications, told i didn’t have medical conditions I have long term documented proof of. Do better. I used to come here for the great ER care, but after this admission experience I will never be coming back. The ER doctor didn’t even evaluate my back and just admitted me without telling admissions or the other staff what my problems were. What an absolute waste of time. The nurses I had were amazing and tried their best to help me, but unfortunately it’s not up to them if I receive the care I need. This has been the most disrespectful and negligent hospital stay I’ve had. And I still need medical care. This did all harm and no good Edit to add: I asked to speak to the doctor about why he’s refusing my medication and he left the building, refused to talk to me, refused to do anything further for me, refused to discharge me with absolutely no reason, and told the nurse to tell me I had to discharge AMA if I wanted to leave because he’s not discharging me or doing anything for me. THAT IS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT OKAY IN ANY POSSIBLE SENSE"
"My companion was on the 3rd floor. Transported there from another hospital on my recommendation because I had knee surgery 6 years ago and was very impressed by the care I was given. But not so this time. Nurses and all staff were very nice but the quality of care was horrible. He was there from Friday evening Sept 29 to Tuesday October 3. During that time he never had a shower or shaved or brushed his teeth. His pull up was never changed. Dirty laundry bedsheets left in chair He is 86 years old and was in there for a stroke which left his communication skills not good. He couldn't even call for a nurse or turn TV on. Sunday he had a breakfast tray but no lunch tray because the nurse failed to order one and didn't eat again until 5 pm He came dehydrated and yet was drinking out of a Styrofoam cup with no montering of water intake I myself have health issues on oxygen with a lung disease.i could not be there with him like I wanted to be it was horrible just leaving him and doing absolutely NOTHING. Is it laziness or what? It was a very bad experience"
"I’m currently sitting in the Menorah Medical Center ER and this has to be the laziest nursing staff I have ever seen. I asked to be unhooked from an IV 20 minutes ago because I had to pee, but no one came. I unhooked myself, went to the bathroom, and left it unhooked, and still not even one nurse has come in. It’s been 40 minutes and It’s still unhooked. Next time, maybe a patient should just pee the bed, as that might get them to come sooner. Oh, they also seem to just leave syringes laying around in patients rooms. I don’t know about most hospitals, but I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen this. Luckily, I’m not some drug addict."
