"After waiting for two hours for a script in their parking lot and three rounds of going though the drive due to their inability to properly handle medications that are for a VA veteran. They asked me to wait multiple times and after the third time I was Fed up. I went through the drive-thru because I had other things to do with my evening and I couldn't wait another 30 minutes for another phone call after already giving them all the information they needed to run the VA benefit. I was told multiple times that the medication was only $5 so I said I would pay for it. Finally when it was all said and done I ended up just paying cash for one prescription, a bottle of children's ibuprofen, and a small bottle of glucose strips. It came to $120. So not only did I waste an entire evening while my sick family member is at my home with a severe condition that he just got discharged from weeks at my neurology clinic in Columbia and I needed the medication as soon as possible I need took the entire day even though they received it the day before. I was assured over the phone that everything is going to be taken care of before I even arrived after spending all day there I had to get home to my family and needed that medication so I just paid for it. A heavy set gray hair gentleman came to the window and started yelling at me and being incredibly disrespectful trying to tell me that I had to wait another 30 minutes and that's the only choice that there was. Eventually finding out that they could have easily sent me to another pharmacy because they were overwhelmed that was still a network and had the medication I needed in the first place. Also after constantly asking him to quit being rude to me because I understood the lack of help I also did not feel heard as a consumer when I was explaining my worries about the medication to eventually come to the conclusion that the VA would replace any money that I spent there in the first place. If I would have known that information going in I would have paid for it hours beforehand. I have never been spoken to so rudely by medical staff at a pharmacy before and never been so misled on information. I will never return to this pharmacy and if you are going through the VA I would not get any of your medications sent there in an emergency. My family member ended up having two more seizures by the time I was able to get home with his medications now currently in critical condition. And yes I'm sorry but I do blame it on the lack of care and professionalism that this pharmacy provided."
