Holiday Inn Express & Suites Springfield North, an IHG Hotel

"Upon arrival, I was informed since I was a local, the hotel won't rent to us. I had spoken to the reservation line two days and was never informed of this. I advised the clerk I was an IHG member and this was a Valentine's getaway for me and my wife. Dionne was the desk clerk and WOW, she was a breath of fresh air. She apologized for the error and stated she would ask her manager. She came back and stated she couldn't find her, but would honor this stay. She had a smile on her face and was super helpful. I would recommend staying here."

"Hands down the most well appointed of any of the Holiday Inn Express properties I’ve stayed at. The rest of the hotel follows suit. One caveat: not all cable channels available. I mixed in the Detroit Lions playoff game into my itinerary, and a sports bar came to my rescue. It’s some kind of dissonance to check into this well appointed property and click on the tv to: SORRY! But, I must imagine in this market, competing hotels aren’t any better. Lou at the front desk gets an A+"

"Location is perfect! Right off the interstate! All of the staff we interacted with was notably friendly. We stayed on Christmas Eve and the kitchen worker even gave us a Christmas card! The room was immaculate. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was incredible. The water pressure and complimentary Dove products were perfect. I cannot say enough about this hotel. We will be back!"

"Stayed 3 nights. Tuesday arrived back, and only my trash and towels were taken care of. Wednesday arrived back to my door, opened (not locked or shut), towels for one, and trash taken out. Both days, I returned to the bed not made, no coffee, no cups, and no extra toilet paper. The front desk clerk she was very nice and even sent an email reference Tuesday not getting the room cleaned/refreshed. Then, she was very helpful again on Wednesday night when I got back. She even brought up coffee, etc, that I needed. Upon checking out, the guy working in the morning on Thursday 11/30 didn't act as if he cared when I told him all that had happened. Acted as if I was bothering him by even telling him. Housekeeping needs to be evaluated at this location and/or needs better training. Being a woman, I shouldn't be returning from a day at the office to my room opened and unlocked. Not including someone could have swiped all my belongings and/or been in the room when I returned."

"Everything is outstanding. Highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast was our highlight of the day. Plenty of food. Lots of choices. Filled us up before starting our day. The only complaint that I have is the bathroom. Wasn't so clean. That is something that I expect in any hotels whether it be a low end hotel or a four star hotel. But there is one thing that stands out. There insulation is remarkable. It was chilly in the early mornings and cold at night. But we barely used our heating system. The room retained the heat so well that we had to put on the ac to cool us down."
