"Been working out here for a couple of weeks now. Getting back into the gym routine after some health and life issues and it's wonderful. Gorgeous facility! Great staff! Small gym area but very well equipped. Gymgoers do a fantastic job of wiping down their stations and re-racking weights. But ... I have never in my life been a member of a gym with more people who sit on stations and play on their phones between sets. And if you try to politely ask to cut in during their 5 minute rest between sets, you get "Yeah, bro. I'm almost done." Super frustrating. It's an argument for the big box gyms, frankly."

"This is the best community center I’ve ever seen. They have a really nice heated therapy pool as well as a lazy River & a lap swimming area, all indoors & a big outdoor pool. The machine area is well stocked with many fine different machines & they have towelette dispensers strategically placed around so you can wipe off the handle areas when you are finished. Super clean all around!!!"

"Worst experience at Merriam Aquatic/Community Center today for the twins birthday party. 1 star ⭐️ HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND booking a birthday party there!! Blonde Lifeguard lady on 4/15/23 Saturday allowed her friends sick kid to stay at the pool to throw up, and get back in after we had to wait 40 minutes so they could clean it (dipping into our 1.5 hour swim time). The kid get back in (nobody knew he got back in) and throws up AGAIN! Making all the birthday parties and patrons to wait ANOTHER 40 minutes so they can clean the pool. Us parents are asking lifeguards for the manager, and a blonder older lady lifeguard gets rude when we asked why they allowed a sick kid to re-enter the pool after he threw up, they could’ve prevented him throwing up again. We soon figured out the sick boys mother was her friend. The LIFEGUARD walks off on us and walks to the boys mother and the LIFEGUARD and her friend (sick boys mother) CHARGE at me ANGRILY telling me not to talk about her son? WHAT? Lady nobody is talking badly about your son in a form you’re antagonizing me about. The ENTIRE community center had to get out of the pool TWICE because your SON threw up TWICE and the LIFEGUARDS AND STAFF did absolutely nothing about it. The front desk said there was not manager on the weekends. The lifeguard manager did nothing but just gave me a card when I asked for a manager. The bully mom of the sick kid yelled at me that it was my fault her son had to leave, neither her or the staff made everyone’s health a priority. The blonde lifeguard initiated violence in front of my kids on THEIR BIRTHDAY PARTY! We stayed bc we had food and presents all there later on the same lifeguard started yelling at my son and threw a pool noodle aggressively in his face because he got back in the pool after they were wrapping up closing hours in the pool, mind you hes autistic and doesn’t comprehend well and I was right behind him closely it was unbelievablly unnecessary. The sick boys mom came back after dropping sick boy off home. Sick boys mom kept eye rolling us the entire rest of our stay making us feel unsafe she even waited in her car until we got in ours. The whole situation felt threatening. I will be requesting camera footage of mom and lifeguard chick initiating confrontation and waiting for us in her vehicle until we got to the parking garage. The front desk staff doesn’t even know any lifeguards names, there really needs to be better policies/procedures checks/balances or some type of audit go decrease poor behavior and negligence of health and safety. Also there was poop and blood in the bathroom. Two other families asked for my number they are upset also and witnessed everything. (Empty pool photo from birthday party due to sale kid throwing up twice)"

"Kids had fun! Pool is clean! Staff is friendly. The pool is not deep and is not super big. However my 9 year olds loved it. My 13 year olds got out the pool in about 30 mins and went to the gym. So I would definitely say the indoor pool is probably best for ages 10 and under."

"I went there for a birthday party I reserved. It's very nice, clean, pre decorated, and the host was amazing! The pool was nice and clean. They have a changing area for the pool and a shower. If you are looking for a place to have a birthday pool party this is the place. It's affordable!"
