"Quaint, historic hotel and spa! Awesome destination. Make reservations early for your spa appointments! I treated my wife to a pedicure and ultimate facial, then joined for a couple's massage. The grotto before your spa appointment is a must. Don't be a chicken, and do the cold plunge shower. The hotel also has an awesome pool and hot tub in the basement (historic), as well as a pool and hot tub outside! They also offer a ghost tour (I didn't go) and have two bars and a restaurant. Excelsior Springs has fun little shops within walking distance of the hotel. Highly recommend for a getaway weekend."

"Excellent experience at The Elm's! We had a couples massage that was lovely and got to hang out in the Gratto for the afternoon. The Three Owls restaurant was top quality with excellent service. Get the NY Strip! The hot tub and lap pool were also fun. Beds were very comfy too. Loved our stay!"

"We enjoyed everything about this place! There’s a rich history throughout this whole town and SO many of the employees have great stories. We had a 3 1/2 day getaway; we enjoyed massages, the grotto and delicious food! (All on site) Susan at the coffee bar was super nice. Amanda I believe is the manager and will randomly check on you and say hello while you’re downstairs. Shaunna at the front desk was also super helpful and never gave me a sour look, even when she was overloaded. We highly recommend this hotel, if you enjoy relaxation, great hospitality, and an overall great experience."

"Everyone has their own opinion but we believe this hotel and spa is awesome! Definitely one of a kind here in Missouri A lot of people are regulars who come have fallen inlove with it also! Highly recommend booking with the spa and enjoy! We had a 80 minute massage it was wonderful and they are highly trained. The grotto was awesome as well definitely worth the money! This place isn’t cheap so don’t expect cheap people here. They upgraded us for 50% off as well since we came during the week. Every employee is friendly and helping For a hotel in the middle of nowhere it’s damn nice!"

"Tried celebrating our Anniversary here, the room was nice but the shower never had hot water, the Spa had great services but it was dirty and the “Hot” tub wasn’t hot it was like warm, if that. In the spa there were used cups almost on every counter and in the waiting room right before spa treatment. We went for the live music at the bar in house we were told live music till 11pm but he finished @10:30 and some drinks that were advertised weren’t available. For the price we paid we expected much better. We never will recommend this place to others"
