"Officially Chopped is an absolute gem! The vibe is incredible. As soon as I walked in, I could just FEEL the good energy. There's lots of conversation, everyone was genuinely happy, and we were greeted like family. We just happened in after a canceled doctor's appointment and since I already had my son out of school so we popped in as we drove by. We only had to wait a few minutes and Mikaela got us right in. They have a few video games, a pop-a-shot basketball game, a real snake, and a bearded dragon! My little guy was stoked! One of the other barbers was on a break and played the NFL video game with him. He was absolutely delighted. The owners children were there and it's clear that family is a priority. He was also so kind to my son and I could tell that he was grateful for our patronage. Children were welcomed and I didn't feel like I had to keep mine calm and in a seat. On our most recent visit, my son asked for the Batman symbol shaved in his hair and Gio was kind enough to partner with Mikaela to give him one. I also love Officially Chopped's commitment to the community. Just this week, I noticed their partnership with Feed KC. It's seriously a place where you just want to be and a hidden treasure (it was to me, anyway) in Shawnee! I look forward to our monthly appointment with Mikaela!"
