"Contacted them in July 2022 about a new laminate counter top gave all measurements to the guy said he'd call me in a few days with the estimate.... stopped in numerous times after and he was never around and no calls ever returned. Come to find out as a single mother and not spending much my business is no good here, don't waste your time stopping in!!!"
"We ordered a full custom kitchen from Builder's Supply in April 2021 and were quoted 8 weeks max for fabrication and install. Contacted Mike Waller at the end of the 8 week mark when we hadn't heard anything only to be told that they were delayed a month. Ok, fine, we understand it's a pandemic. At the 12 week mark we still hadn't heard so we contacted him again and were told the cabinets would be in "tomorrow" and delivered "ASAP" and install would take one full day. Waited 2 days for delivery, install took 3 days, and couldn't give us an exact date on counter templating. Everyone we worked with was very nice, but when we inspected the installed cabinets it was immediately obvious that every cabinet was damaged in some way. Some just had dents and scratches in the paint, others had cracked doors and gapping. The island cabinet is also backwards. When we contacted Mike to discuss he stated he knew the island was going to be backwards because it was accidentally made that way (no one notified us) and that the rest would be "made right" and a "complimentary refinisher" would come immediately to repair and repaint the cabinets. Waited 3 more days for the refinisher who then no showed, and when I texted Mike about it I received no response until after several hours I received a voicemail from the refinisher himself quoting 2 more days until he could come out. We were still on board with all of this, just wanted our cabinets to look new again. Refinisher comes and makes 2 days of work out of what was quoted as 1 and when he leaves the cabinets look worse. He patched with something that I could scrape right off with a fingernail, left fingerprints of paint all over the finish, did not repair the cracked door, and most of the issues were still very obvious. Contacted Mike again and he immediately agreed it looked worse, but cannot give an exact date someone will come to fix them nor tell us whether or not it will just be the same refinisher again. Countertops were finally templated 2.5 weeks after install and we were quoted 2 weeks for final install on those, except now Mike says maybe 2.5 more weeks, he can't be sure. As soon as we decided we needed to get final dates on everything because we've been very understanding thus far we texted Mike to ask for dates & names on remaining work to be done only to be ignored. We waited a few days and called, but he ignored the call and texted back "I will call you back". He never called back so we texted again (can't leave him a voicemail because his inbox is full) only to be told we've been given all of the information we should expect to be given and he won't take phone calls and when I asked to meet in person he said "first availability is in 5 days I'll pencil you in". Absolutely unacceptable behavior from the person solely responsible for our difficulties with this project. We want to be as understanding as possible and work out a solution but refusing to give exact info or even take a phone call on an expensive custom kitchen that is over 2 months past schedule shows a lack of accountability and respect for your customers. We have done the rest of a complete down-to-the-studs home renovation completely on our own so we know there are delays and issues, but no other supplier has refused to give us exact dates for things and no other contractor has refused to stand by their work or schedule times for work, let alone skip out on our appointments. We do not intend to seem inconsiderate of the economic climate all of this is happening in, we just feel that the services we are paying for are substandard and Mike Waller's behavior is unprofessional. Sincerely hoping Built Right and/or Builder's Supply will do something to fix this for us."
