"I was a client of Star since they opened (approx. 6 months), and usually had a good experience. However, as they were closed for several weeks due to family illness- since their return- they have gone down hill. When I went with a friend to have pedi's done, I was burned by a hot rock and they the owner/tech laughed it off...even though I was clearly upset. She continued to speak in Vietnamese with her husband and give me snarky looks as I was unnerved by her lack of concern over it. To make matters worse, as she was exfoliating my feet, she rubbed me raw-using the callus trimmer to cut off skin! I had a cut and an open sore on the side of my foot! If that wasnt bad enough, I went to pay (even though I should have gotten services for free at that point), and was charged an ADDITIONAL $15 for GEL polish-which they insisted is what all of the other salons charged...but I have had my nails and feet done for years around the state and elsewhere, and have NEVER been charged that much extra to have GEL instead of other polish and it wasnt listed anywhere on their signage. I would not recommend, nor will I be returning to their salon again. They were not empathetic or kind about the injuries nor did they seem to care. It was more about getting paid and ensuring they charged the max amount for it. Be wary of salons with lack of customers. In the beginning I believed it was great to go there, as there was really no one there...but now I know why! I will never return nor would I recommend."
