"A lot of Sherwin-Williams stores are known for having team members that are patient and have advanced knowledge of products. That’s why you go there instead of picking up similar quality products at the box store up the road. This is not one of those stores. I walked in with questions an an open mind as a property manager who was thinking of switching the paint I usually buy. The guys spent little time with me and I had to press them for more information. You could tell they just wanted to give me some paint and move on. Seeing as I wasn’t a priority - the guy spent more time looking at the person who walked into behind me like he was the priority- I decided to help them out and said thanks and left. I went down to the box store and decided I’ll just use their top-shelf paint from now on."
"The best and easiest paint store in Pittsburg if you care to use the best paint it's here"
"I went to Sherwin Williams because I needed expert advice on color selection. I’d been to the local big box store and bought a couple handfuls of samples (5$/per) in my quest for the perfect beige, pink and blue for my large, whole house paint job. Two employees were working and I was the only customer. I brought in my top two samples to explain “close but” with the hope an expert could pin point a better choice. Nope. I was given a handful of paper color swatches, two eye rolls, the statement “we don’t have samples” and “no, we don’t have the base to make a quart” when I said I’d go that route for sample. In leaving, the employee suggested I go to the online site."
"Sherwin-Williams is a bit more expensive than the box stores, however with sales it can be cheaper. They have a wide selection of anything you would need to paint. They can color match anything. If you haven't decided on your colors yet, buy the paint when a sale comes and bring it back to have them tent it."
"My experience was terrible. I walked in wanting a white paint for a trim, and the lady was rude and made me feel stupid. She forced a paint I didn't even really know about, because obviously I'm not a paint expert, down my throat. She looked at me like I was stupid and treated me like a child. She didn't really want to help, she just wanted my money. She didn't ask questions, and communicated hardly. I will never go back to Sherman Williams because of this terrible experience. When I went to Home Depot, they asked questions, informed me about the paint I was getting, and made me feel confident about what I was getting. You would think a paint speciality store would help more, but that is terribly wrong. I will never go back and spend my money at Sherman Williams. Home Depot was way more helpful and worth the time I spent there. Everyone, go to Home Depot instead."
