"I love this store. I shop here often. I am going there today. God Bless. Wonderful workers. Very kind. From Gloria."
"I done came down here! The man left to goto the bank and closed the store. I don’t really care where he his and his excuse, but this is an inconvenience. Plus there’s a employee outside waiting telling everyone the store closed"
"I went into this store to grab a couple of things. As I am shopping I see one of the employees and the assistant manager searching the area of the store where I am located. I get what I need and start searching for the other things I need. The female employee approaches me and says, "You're banned from the store." I reply by saying, "Excuse me." She starts explaining when the assistant manager comes up and says you were asked not to return to the store. I say what, I just moved from Colorado and this is the first time I have been in this store. He says you were stealing o say what. He says, "I saw you putting something in your jacket." I say my personal property. He then says, "Just take out and show me what it was ." I say no, so he says well I am denying you service. " " I say what? Call the police because they can't make me show them what's in my pocket. So he follows me through the store until I got to the register and then told the clerk not to ring up my items because he refusing me service and then told me not to come back to the store. I took his picture for identity purposes. He followed me into the parking lot and then took a picture of my vehicle. I told him I would be filling a complaint with family dollars' corporate office and filling a civil complaint for slander and public humiliation. I went to another store and asked for the general manager's name and number and was told they're not allowed to give that out. I would have to leave and message and have it relayed. I will update this once I've filed a civil complaint with the courts ."
"The Family Dollar on 18th KCMO is horrible. I just left & it was 7 people in line. One cashier but 4 employees. No one working but the cashier while others watch the long line. Ajax on sale 3 bottles for 5 however sale price didn’t ring up & cashier didn’t try to correct. She didn’t have anyone check the isle for the sale sign nor check the flyer. She didn’t try to assist at all. Employees act as if they aren’t there to work & act bothered. I normally try to avoid that location even though it’s the closest to me. It’s always a discouraging experience when I go there."
"Friday,December 16, 2022 at approximately 12:40 pm, I'm checking out and a laundry detergent that was on the shelf, priced at $9.75, was actually $12.25. I requested the manager, whose name is Marcus, to make him aware of the problem. He rudely stated that he cannot change the price and that he has a lot of new employees. I stated to Marcus that I wasn't asking for a price change, but that he would be aware of the inconvenience to customers. He was again, very rude and dismissive. I stated that customers should be taken in consideration and new employees should be properly trained. Marcus impathically stated that he is doing a GREAT job and wasn't concerned about the mix up. I suggested that he would have been better off pardoning the situation and offering an apology for the inconvenience. He found no reason to offer an apology with a respectful attitude. He is clearly not effective management material."
