"My experience with Level 5 tools has been quite excellent. They are fast to ship and their tools are top quality. They respond quickly to comments. They are innovators within the industry. You, right now, very well may have a Level 5 tool with a different brand name (yellow and black) on it in your tool set. I did. Bought them years ago. And I was surprised. Actually shocked. And I'm one to know tools. I have what's commonly called a tool addiction. For drywall work I've got Tapetech, Columbia, Northstar, USG, Drywall Master, Goldblatt, even some Ames tools I picked up at a pawn shop years ago, in addition to the DeWalt screeds mentioned above. All that being said, I needed a solution for running angles on the biggest job I've done by myself. The latest greatest thing around are the compound tubes. The point of this review is my experience with the Level 5 mini shot. Nothing, and I mean nothing has been as easy to use and produced the results that the Level 5 mini shot has. Angles are always a pain in the back. Always. Listen, I ran all the crown and wall angles for the first time in a room today and after I finished I stood in the center of the room dumbstruck, not really able to process the ease of what had just happened, let alone the speed. No wrist twisting, no trying to fight a plunger, the head engages the corner and you run it. Fast and slick. No chatter or hollows. And the mini shot isn't a one-off with Level 5's quality. A month ago I added the stainless clipped and pointing knives to my hand tool set to do a particularly difficult inside off-angle and a set of bathroom cubby holes. No lie, they're every bit the quality of my USG taping knives. Maybe even better. There's a real good chance (it's 100%) as I replace tools and add new kit to my tool set, I default to Level 5 now. And last week you'd have had to pry my Columbia and Tape Tech tools from my hands. That's how impressed I am with the quality and engineering of Level 5, their speed in delivery, their price point, and the quality of produced results.
