Milano's Italian Restaurant 209 23rd Street, Plattsmouth, NE 68048

"I ordered this place on DoorDash. The bread was the best part. My partner and I received the most bland and mediocre dishes ever. $30-$35 each dish for something we have to douse in salt and Parmesan at home? The head chef at this place obviously doesn’t pay attention to what their cooks or even themself is making. The fettuccine Alfredo had no flavor; I also ordered extra pasta and if the dish I got definitely did not suffice for $7 of extra pasta. It’s quite obvious that the salad is stored in the fridge overnight and the noodles are pre cooked at the beginning of the day. I want to give this place another try in person, but I’m 100% not going on a Friday because whoever is in the kitchen on that day needs some training. I spent $105 when it tasted like it was only worth $50. On the bright side the desserts were good even though they’ve been in the fridge for presumably 2 days. Sorry for the bad review, but I’m heavily dissatisfied. I spent a lot of money on this place and it’s truly like the McDonalds of Italian food in Austin as far as I’m aware. Maybe they didn’t care as much because it was DoorDash? Sorry guys."

"The food was good, as was the first time we went. Our issue was the service, one person took our order, another delivered our food, and we had to ask someone to bring us our check. No one ever checked on us and we had to ask for our appetizer, which came out cold, and adult beverage that we ordered. The tables are too close together, and even though it was valentines, each of the tables had only 2 chairs."

"My dad and step mom live out in this area and said we should go here for dinner. It was newly opened and I do believe we were all amazed. The night we went it was short staffed which we only had to wait a little bit longer due to not enough people. Food was amazing. I got the chicken parm with a salad and the house made Italian. Both of which I enjoyed. I would recommend this place and to me it is worth the drive."

"I gave a four although each individual category was a 5 star rating. It's confusing, but it's due to the odd " greeting ". They were short staffed and we felt as if the staff member seating us was hoping we'd decide not to stay. We were told it would be 5 minutes before we could be seated. We were undeterred. The folks right behind us were told they'd need to wait 10 minutes. My husband responded " no problem we'll just get a drink in the bar" . That's when we were informed that there were only two staff, so no one was in the bar to attend to us. Weirdly right after that, we were seated, promptly waited on and our service was excellent. Just not a very welcoming reception.......everything else was great."

"If you have patience and grace this would be the spot for you. I only say this because although the restaurant isn’t complete I must say the staffing was hustling back there and working very hard which needs to be recognized. They are short handed but even with that they did an amazing job with polite and attentive service. Now onto the food. This restaurant isn’t a commercial restaurant it has a cozy and relaxing atmosphere with meals that seems to be more home made rather then mainstream Italian. Portions are large so come hungry. Pricing is reasonable for what you are getting. This restaurant is full of potential for a small town which is much needed."
