"They were very friendly and helpful although they did not have my part but they did give me resources to try to find it"
"Bought a tub from Winnelson and had it delivered. The driver called he was at the house. The driveway goes to a basement entrance that is being finished. I said that I was on my way for chemo treatment, but the door was open and could he please just put it inside the door. He said no, it will be outside. Thanks"
"I am having my bathroom done by a local contractor and he likes to use local suppliers. He purchased a shower kit from Winsupply. After placing it the parts of the kit (not installed) he found it was not a good fit for plumbing. He attempted to return the kit without the box and they refused. He called other Winsupply within KC and they said this is not common practice to refuse a return without a box since for contractors don't need the box. I called Winsupply to purchase a replacement they expected me the customer to know who exactly to talk to about shower parts rather that act as a team and transfer the call automatically. They quoted me a price for the part I needed and confirmed the part was in stock. I immediately came into the store. In the store no one was wearing a mask, no one greeted me for 15 mins. Finally someone asked what I needed and instead of helping me they told me to walk down a hall where I had to ask can anyone help me? someone at a computer reluctantly turned to help me and acted as i was a bother. The all acted as if i never called in prior. They took way too long to find the part they had just found on the phone. They had the nerve to ask me what they quoted me on the phone, then said "well that's not the price, but Ill sell it to you for what you were quoted". I asked what the price was and he wouldn't tell me. They had the nerve to ask me if i needed help loading.. I have Cerebral palsy and it is quite obvious YES i need help. The guy then grunted in disapproval and Made his way with my item out to my truck. In the future I will shop outside of Kearney for my shopping needs."
"Been coming here for a few years because of the good selection of plumbing supplies. I’m an automotive mechanic and work on HVAC, mechanical and plumbing every day so I’m not the average DIY. Now, due to new rules they won’t sell to me because I’m technically not a contractor. Ridiculous turning away business!"
"Disappointingly poor service. I went in needing some onyx trim for my new tub install to cover the screw flange and transition to the onyx wall backing. Seemly simple enough. I was referenced to sheila, who bizzarly greeted me by questioning where I lived and why I was at this location.. No big deal, but kind of off putting. I explained my scenario and was given a lecture as to why this wouldn't work; essentially being told I need to start over. Must be a lack of understanding since I'd talked to several other associates at other locations whom specifically told me this was the correct method. I reexplained myself and was advised to demolish and start over and that leaks were inevitable. I felt like it was a cheap sales tactic to make me purchase new and felt as though I was being belittled with every response. Another customer entered and sheila exclaimed, "can I help you, hopefully you'll be a little easier". After being ignored for longer than I could tolerate I left. Spend the gas money and drive to st joe."
