"I came across Aura in my search for a quality salon. After visiting the web page I followed the site's directions to complete an Appointment Request Form. The form requires that you answer several questions, upload a picture of yourself, and upload pictures of your desired hair style. It asks that you allow 48 hours for response. It has now been over two weeks and I have gotten NO response from the salon. I have tried calling several times, left a voicemail and texted in an attempt to schedule an appointment. IMO asking someone to upload an image of themselves and then not bothering to respond is extremely unprofessional and disconcerting. I'm hoping the owner is okay and that they see this so that they can take action, or at least bother to respond so that I don't feel like I got scammed/catfished. Looks like Lori G. in a previous review had the same experience, I just wish I would have seen her review before I filled out the form!"

"Terrible customer service - I came across this salon through a Google search while looking for a colorist in the Northland. A persons name called, “January” came up and it said that she worked at Arora salon. I tried phoning to make an appointment and reached a recording that said that the salon was closed all that week. I was on a timeline. So, I thought I’d try booking in advance through their website. Going through the site clients must upload photos of themselves in order to start the appointment process. So, I jumped through the hoops of uploading the photos that were requested of me and hairstyles that I was interested in. I’d hoped for my efforts that the final step would be to select a date and time for an appointment. But no, I just got a confirmation email saying that someone would be in touch. I waited for a week and nothing. So that was a waste of time. I called again the next week. But again I got a recording. This time it said that they were currently closed. This was during normal business hours. The recording said that I could leave a message and they would return the call. So I did that. Actually, I called three times on three different days. A week later, I still haven’t heard back. I’m moving on. But wanted to pass along my experience to save others from the frustration."

"You can expect total transformation with the stylists at Aura. I like to think of January as an artist who loves to style hair. The ladies at the studio genuinely care about their clients and their satisfaction. I always say, “You get what you pay for.” They are worth every penny. If you haven’t checked out Natural Beaded Rows for a more full head of hair, you must inquire!!"

"I hate this rating honestly, because I have had such amazing experiences here. This last yearish though has been strange. I know the salon went through an amazing transformation, unfortunately though I have yet to see it. My last hair cut was in March, I have tried many times to make an appointment since this summer. Finally after my stylist came back from maternity leave (big congratulations!) I was able to get an appointment! Then the next day it was cancelled, I called to ask why? They said that she was rescheduling appointments and they would call and reschedule. I never got a call. Back in April I tried to get my son an appointment as he had been going there several times, and the receptionist stated, "(stylist) wants me to remind you that she doesn't cut kids hair anymore" then hung up. This wouldn't have been a bu ig deal except she had never told me in the first place, had she I would have got recommendations for a stylist. I am bummed out because I LOVED going here, had a great time always was happy with the outcome. Now I feel not welcome."

"I had to give this salon one star, but probably should give it zero or a negative number if I could. My daughter had a gift certificate for $150. After initially being argued with about the appointment time, she made an appointment for 2:00 pm today. After waiting 15 minutes , she asked what the problem was. The assigned stylist, Taylor, was giving a haircut. The receptionist/manager condescendingly told her that sometimes they ran late, and since she was not a regular customer, she might have to wait longer. Then she turned up the already loud rock music to block out my daughter's comments. Infuriating! After 20+ minutes, she approached a male stylist (thinking he might be the manager), but was given the same lame excuses. At that point, she had had enough and left. This was the worst excuse for customer service I have ever seen!"
