"We visited during the Garden Glow and purchased dinner tickets for $16/person. We ordered the Chicken Sheppard's Pie. It looked more like a stew than a Sheppard's Pie. Flavors were bountiful and with an amazing blend of chicken chunks, mushrooms, and potato chunks (what they called tater tots). Four of five stars only because menu was very limited."
"The view is the real attraction, but the food is pretty good too. It's counter service, but the ingredients are fresh and the food is well prepared. In fair weather you can enjoy your meal or beverage outside -- lovely!"
"Staff was nice, space was beautiful. The food and non alcoholic drink selection was good, not great, but the wine and beer choices seemed impressive, although we did not partake."
"The butternut caramelized onion soup of the day had a good flavor but was not hot when it arrived. The ham sandwich on brown bread with Gouda was tasty with the dill pickles as a surprise crunch to the sandwich that was appreciated. The big disappointment was the coffee. It cost more than the fountain drink, but unlike the fountain drinks when I asked I was told I could not get free refills. I received the coffee from the counter where I ordered. Then had to go over and add the cream on another location before locating a seat. While I would not make a special trip here to eat, it was ok for a visit to the Botanical Gardens."
"Not an extensive menu but a decent selection of food. The seating area is really nice, and there is a large outdoor patio seating area as well. This makes a good place to catch your breath and grab a bite when visiting the garden. One complaint: unlike at many museums, membership get you no discount here."
