"I recently contacted Future Air to inquire about pricing for a service visit after our AC unit stopped blowing cold air. The person I spoke to on the phone was polite and provided information about the service visit. She explained that there would be “service visit fee” and “Repair Fees”. They were able to schedule an appointment with Johnathan, their technician, within an hour of my call, which was impressive and appreciated. Johnathan arrived promptly and seemed knowledgeable about AC systems. He quickly diagnosed the issue and explained what was wrong with our AC unit. However, this is where the positive experience took a turn. When it came time to discuss payment, I was surprised to learn that the total cost was significantly higher than what I had been quoted over the phone. During my initial call, I specifically inquired about the pricing for the service visit and explained what we had already tried in attempt to fix it ourselves. The representative on the phone failed to mention that there would be an additional diagnostic testing fee. This lack of transparency about the pricing structure was frustrating and put us in an uncomfortable situation. Given that we were on a tight budget, we had called in advance to understand the costs involved and ensure we could afford the service call. However, the unexpected increase in the overall price caught us off guard and left us in an even more hardship than we were in prior. Feeling deceived, I immediately called the main number to discuss the discrepancy. The same representative I originally spoke with answered and acted as if I should’ve known when she said “repair fees” that didn’t mean cost to repair system but that it meant service fee & diagnostic fee. While Johnathan's diagnosis and professionalism were commendable, the miscommunication regarding the pricing left a sour taste in our mouths. I hope that Future Air improves its communication with customers, ensuring that they provide transparent and accurate information about pricing during the initial inquiry. It is crucial for customers to feel confident and informed about the costs involved before scheduling a service visit. Had the pricing been clearer and consistent, our experience with the company would have been much better."
