"I went to sears yesterday to return/exchange my son’s shoes. The lady on the counter said only the manager can do returns, I waited for 25-30 min for the manager to come and then when he came he kept repeating “we cannot take any return “ without even listening to me. He cut my sentence and kept repeating the same thing, I bought those shoes when the return policy was alive but still they did not return those shoes. Moreover, the manager doesn’t know how to speak to people, an absolute mannerless man. The worst experience I ever had at any store. I would have given a zero star if I could. Disgusting."
"Lied about delivery of a $10,000 fridge. Told me it would be guaranteed delivery in 5 days. Got a call a few hours before promised delivery and told me the fridge won’t be delivered for another week. They lie to their customers about delivery dates so that they buy their products. Then after you buy they call back and say they won’t deliver on promised date. Do yourself a favor and don’t do business with Sears. There is a reason they are going out of business."
"Same usual Sears tool selection, but I was still able to find some made in USA stock. Above all, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff tonight was wonderful, especially after having an opposite experience at a Sears in the Southwest corner of St. Louis. We were traveling through from Houston, and the two men at the checkout were genuine and kind in their questions and conversation about how the rebuilding in Houston has been going and celebrating our Astros win. We really appreciated their friendliness!"
"I went to buy an outdoor furniture on 09/04. Showed sales person the price on sears app and he got the confirmation from his supervisor to match it. Measured the size to carry on my SUV and when I was ready to purchase an arrogant store manager came in and said he wanted to see on the website. Well item was not showing in the website because it was no longer available. I showed him on sears app and told him that salesperson and his supervisor agreed to match it. He rudely said in front of his subordinate "I am the store manager and I make the decision". No wonder customer is flying away from sears and with the kind of store manager sears employ, it wont be long when they shut down the store. Good luck whoever is buying at this store!!!"
"Purchased one of their top of the line edgers from sears in chesterfield Mall. First one we purchased was used so returned it same day. Second one started to not run properly after second use. It kept shutting off when we started edging. Went to exchange for another one but they have a 30 day policy and we were 14 days past that. 45 days ago. They had one of their techs in the parts dept look at it. Came back said it worked just fine and they put CLEAN gas in it. (We always use clean gas) they stated it started right up. Our PROBLEM was not that it wouldn't start but to stay started. We took it home went to edge and same thing kept happening. We are trying to edge grass as we are having a grad party the next day so we were told to take it up to St. Peter's location to have it looked at but hey they're closed today. Sucks to be us doesn't it. Their main concern is Sears can't afford to return everything that comes back broken. Well I hope Sears is still in business considering their managers are being paid too much to their lack of management skills. Hey businesses Customer Service is Key!!! It's not like we were asking for anything they couldn't take care. What has happened to the quality of sears products. Craftsman used to be the name for excellence but not anymore."
