Chinese Buffet 7914 State Avenue, Kansas City, KS 66112

"Brought my family and I to great wolf lodge for my youngest son's birthday. His favorite food is Chinese buffet,this place was the closest buffet to our hotel for him. My wife, middle aged son and I tried a bite of the food and refused to eat it for the sole fact it was literally cold, not warm, not hot, but cold, stell, disgusting honestly so I asked to pay for my son's meal and explained the rest of the family didn't eat. They demanded I pay for our family that didn't eat. Pulled up a video of another family eating and said it was our family! I have 3 boys and they played a video of a family with 1 lil girl eating and said it was my family. I said I'd gladly pay for the food that my son ate and the two two drinks my kids got. Instead they called police , so I made a video of the interaction!"

"I am a harsh Chinese food critic and not easy to please when it comes to buffets. They had the best Beef with Broccoli that I've had in a long time! Their veggie rice noodles were really good, too. Most of their food was superior to other buffets I've tried recently - not full of grease, gristle, and sugar. Some food was slightly cold and the buffet area is pretty small so not a ton of selection, but I can overlook that in favor of good quality and flavor. The building is rundown and a bit sketchy from the outside, but the inside is clean and nice. The service was great and we had a good experience. Would highly recommend!"

"Arrived around 8 p.m., an hour and a half before closing (9:30). Went mainly for sushi. All gone. The buffet had pans with limited amounts of food, some almost empty. All food selected by 3 of us was lukewarm. Asked for Pepsi, was served diet Pepsi. Started vacuuming before 9. Around the same time, one staff person - manager? - went to each table to gather empty plates and said to each, "One more plate!" Same guy brought our check right after - still before 9 - and a minute later came back and asked, "Cash or card?" We have always paid at the register, but he couldn't wait. At 9:02, just after we finished dessert but were still talking and finishing drinks, he tells us they have to spray a chemical on the carpet. Not sure why this couldn't wait till after closing - which, remember is at 9:30. If you want to close at 9, post that and don't push people out a half hour before. Been going here for years and it's never been this bad. Similar service the past 3 times we've gone."

"Best Chinese Buffet around! their food has never been cold when I go in. The waiters are super nice and are always on top of taking our plates and giving us refills. Definitely my go to spot! give it a try honestly it is amazing."

"Excellent food. This place is better than most Chinese buffets I have been to. The best selections I had were the hibachi chicken and sesame chicken. The rice was actually good, unlike most buffets, and the cream cheese wontons were delicious!"
