"Not impressed. Had the #3 & #4 combos for a group of 7. Brisket had no smoke flavor and tasted like it was made in the oven - dry. The burnt ends tasted pretty much the same. The one bright spot were the ribs. Actually tasted good and soft. Would definitely not go back."

"Great BBQ place. The Cornbread was sweet. The fries were some of the best at a BBQ restaurant I ever had. I had the pulled pork sandwich. This KC BBQ doesn’t get as much appreciation due to its location."

"Staff was incredibly helpful with the menu, and super friendly. All the guys seemed to really enjoy the work environment and proud of their barbecue. They shared their rating with us in the magazine. Cornbread could be a meal in itself. Don’t leave without trying it. The smoked chicken was my personal favorite. The beans were also a favorite!! Not any beer on tap, but bottles available. This is the best barbecue around."

"Wasn’t impressed with the food. Tried the sausage, it was pretty spicy. Fries were homemade, but soggy. Cornbread was just crumbles. Onion straws weren’t anything special. Original BBQ sauce is nasty. Sweet BBQ sauce was ok, and what I used to cool down the spice in the sausages. The ham was tasty. Ribs were ok. Overall wouldn’t return."

"My family and I tried The Rub the other day and we were so pleased! If given the choice, my kids would always choose hamburgers or chicken nuggets over other fare but everyone left happy and full after this meal. They have even requested this be a regular stop. The food had deep, rich bbq flavor and the meat was perfectly cooked and truly fell apart. I highly recommend the hash and also the burnt ends burrito. My kids rated the bbq, in particular the sausage, high as well as the Mac and cheese and the cornbread. It was a great stop with helpful, friendly staff that gave us suggestions as we placed the order."
