"Another update - I took a friend to Bubbas. We both got the 3 meat platter meals. I got the burnt ends (as always), ham and sausage. My friend got burnt ends, turkey, and pulled pork. My friend loved it all, mine was good but his burnt ends were cooked perfectly mine weren't cooked near enough, no burnt parts at all! But my friends were great and I'm happy about that. The only thing that was not good, it was freezing inside the restaurant. It was in the upper 40s outside... but my friend had to go get his coat and I had to put mine back on... way too cold. I think my burnt ends were a fluke, I'm still at 5 stars and I still recommend it and will go back. Update- We went back and Bubba's BBQ is still 5 stars! We shared the 5 meat platter, ham, burnt ends, brisket, pulled pork, and smoked sausage. All great!!!! Loved the sauces too. The sides were okra, fries, and baked beans. They were all good, the beans were great! Great service and the place was clean. I recommend it and will return for sure! Original review- Bubba's BBQ was excellent! I had my fave, the Burnt Ends. Actually, my wife and I had the pick 4 meats and two sides meal. Burnt ends, brisket, pulled pork and ham Sides were fried corn on the cob and fried Okra. All were superb! Great service, great food, the place was clean, food was hot and fast. Would recommend and certainly will return!"
"Sadly, this place didn’t live up to the expectations at all. I saw the reviews on Google, walked in and smelt the delicious smells, and I was hopeful. The poor girl was working the cash register, pouring drinks, busing tables all by herself. She did a great job, and she needs to get a job somewhere else. Because of this, it took a while to order. Our food was out quick but it wasn’t hot at all. The meat was cold. The potato wasn’t cooked all the way and was tough. The wings were over cooked from smoke and burnt. Borderline inedible and dry. The skin was terrible. The only good part of the meal was the bbq sauce. The tables and floor weren’t clean. People who came in before us STILL hasn’t gotten their orders by the time we had finished eating our food. One girl’s order was lost and she had to reorder. I think another family just got a refund."
"EDIT: The recent inspection in the paper was shocking, disgusting. I suggest reading it. And the reviews that use words like "filthy". I was drive thru only, never been inside. Good food. Large portion. I got a four meat plate. Pork, turkey, ham, ribs. Ribs were very good. Good barbecue sauce. BBQ itself wasn't the best I've ever had, however it certainly wasn't bad and it was extraordinary for the money. The sauce is similar to what you'll find at Crosstown BBQ. Turkey was slightly dry, but turkey almost always is. Drive thru a big plus."
"Great little spot for some delicious burnt ends, probably the best we had so far in Springfield. The three meat can easily feed two. Fries are homemade and fantastic as well. Quick and friendly service make this a great place."
"First time coming here, and it won't be the last! The food was overall quite tasty. My pulled chicken was great, and burnt ends were amazing. The fried corn on the cob was made well and seasoned wonderfully. The Mac n cheese is definitely homemade and good, but not my all-time favorite. My husband really liked the pink sauce that came on his Cowboy sandwich. We also picked up some fried pies to go. The cherry was pretty good, and the apple was fine. If you're not a fan of skin on your apple, I'd recommend trying a different flavor of their pies. The service was friendly and very helpful. Also, the music being played was top knotch (Childers, Simpson, Jinks, Bryan, etc.). We definitely plan on going back!"
