Electric Vehicle Charging Station

"I am planning a trip to attend my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. $5 an hour (with no cap) to the public is price gauging. If I attend the event, it would cost me roughly $40 to drive home with a full charge. The female I spoke to on the phone who claims to be the owner/manager was unwilling to work out a deal with me to make it feasible. She said, "electricity costs money." It doesn't cost $5 an hour. My assumption is that it probably cost the company a lot of money to install those chargers and they are choosing to price gauge the public to offset some of that cost. When this is your only option for traveling to the area in an EV you probably just pay it and move on. That's called taking advantage of people. And it probably works out for them pretty alright."
