"I was excited to try the steak with added lobster seafood topping. The sirloin steak was inedible, and the seafood topping was not much better than baby food without a single piece of actual lobster. The additional shrimp skewer was okay, but slightly over, drying it out; and, I didn't even touch the dry, unsavory rice pilaf. I sent back the steak (and that IS NOT something I do) and got crab legs instead, which thankfully were cooked well. The sides were at least good, not to die for, but redeemable based on everything else. The food is overpriced and underwhelming, other than the seafood boil that my sister and niece ate! [Fried chicken looked good, but didn't taste it]. Ribs and Salmon were "just okay" accordimg to the ones that had them. I do know the fried catfish was also bad. Additionally, they do not give a description of the hush puppies, so when your son gets excited and orders them as one of his sides, only to be served 6 cornbread fritters filled with chopped jalapenos, it's very disappointing! The decor is nothing new or original, but fun in it's own way (even if it is does look like a Cheddar's/Fridays had a Baby with Lambert's Cafe.) At least the service staff was nice, albeit a bit slow. We did have a large party, so I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt. The cocktail menu is far better than any of the food! Just go to the bar for apps and drinks!!"

"YES!! Knowing this place is a short car ride away is dangerous….we LOVE these type of restaurants!! Same owners and experience as Billy Gail’s …. We will ABSOLUTELY be visiting more often now that I know it’s here!! Loved the Pulled Pork Plate (too excited and forgot pics but will get some next time). Amazing portions, great taste, great service … highly recommend"

"Flavorless food, but a lot of it. The steaks were ok. Chicken fried chicken was not that great. The Mighty pork tenderloin was huge, but tasted like flour. There was absolutely no seasoning and made me feel nauseous after a few bites. The steamed broccoli was not at all cooked, but had a good buttery flavor. What is with those tiny weird rolls?? The only good part to the meal was the fried okra appetizer. Our waitress tried to give us to go boxes before we had hardly eaten our food. Then it took forever to get the check. I’m not sure why we couldn’t get the boxes with the check. I brought most of my food home to give to the dog. This place was trying hard to be Cracker Barrel but missed it by a mile. There is no reason to ever go back to this place- our first and last experience. There are much better places in Webb and Joplin to throw $150 at. Try Famos - it’s amazing!!"

"I have very mixed opinions. This evening was my first time eating here. For our appetizer we got the lobster dip which was amazing but the wonton chips that were served with it were very well done and almost too hard to eat. Next came our salads. Salads were fresh but the ranch dressing was basically just sour cream. It was too thick and very bland. For my main dish I ordered the country fried steak. It was absolutely horrid. The meat was super dry and burnt. The breading also burnt and too much breading. The gravy was too salty for my liking (which I ordered on the side). The mashed potatoes by themselves were decent. My spouse had the same issues with the salad dressing on their salad. Their food was amazing as I tasted what they had (wish I would've ordered the steak). I mentioned my complaints to the waitress and she took my plate but didn't ask if I wanted anything else. Management took 25 percent off the price of the dinner I ordered even though I hadn't even eaten a quarter of what they prepared."

"Staying at the hotel next door Flat Creek was a great choice for Friday night dinner when no one wanted to be the designated driver. There was a wait, but after registering, we were able to return to the hotel and await the text that a table was available. We both chose the catfish and ribs combo, large portions, with really crisp catfish, not greasy or soggy. No space for dessert and needed a take out box. Worth a trip!"
