The Mixx - Hawthorne Plaza

"It's been a while since I've had a chance to eat at The Mixx. I ordered my favorites - a salmon BLT and a Garden of Eden salad. Both were delicious! My only complaint is that the signs say "Order sandwiches here" but no one is there. I finally walked across the restaurant to where orders are picked up and was able to order there. A sign directing one there would have been helpful, or perhaps one of the two people standing there could have beckoned us over. Other than that, it was a very satisfying experience."

"The way they set up ordering is stupid. They have a sign that says "Order Here" buy that area isn't unattended. Then you proceed to another area to order but once you wait and tell them what you want depending in what you want you may have to go to a 3rd area to order. It's completely stupid and then your order comes out one thing at a time and they have some drinks at one part of the place and other drinks across the other side of the place. It's a completely mess. The food is decent though."

"The Thai salad with salmon is good but with sirarcha on top is better. The spicy balances out the sweet chili sauce that tops the salmon. The bread is good, but dry! For example, 4 pats of butter to swallow is needed."

"Disappointed in the country club sandwich I ordered. The bread was stale and was very messy to eat because it was too large. On half of the sandwich, one side came with barely any bread and the other had no slice of bread to hold the sandwich together (as pictured). Definitely not worth $15. Also, my daughter didn’t get her quinoa bowl (Aloha Tuna Bowl) until much after I received my meal as they forgot. I do really appreciate the manager taking off the meal after realizing the meal was forgotten about when my daughter asked. My daughter did enjoy her meal. Overall, $47 for two people (2 meals, drinks, and cookies) is not worth us returning."

"The salad (garden of Eden) was not what I was expecting, but it had great taste! I didn't need dressing because it was so moist. But to get the intended taste I added some. The club sandwich was dry, I should have known better than ordering turkey."
