Burg & Barrel - Overland Park

"I live down the street and have gotten carry out a handful of times. My experience has not always been the best, and I feel like I have always given the place a little bit of grace because I order carry out and not dine in. My order and experience was exceptional. I really wanted a few things so I got fish and chips, a burger, which then came with both fries and tater tots, and I ordered an Appetizer of fried mushrooms. The fried mushrooms were fried to perfection, and came with a ranch dipping sauce, which was awesome, which was house made. The hamburger which I ordered the meat to be medium was 100% medium cooked and was delicious. The tater tots were crispy, the fish and chips was delicious. The fish was perfect. The only thing I missed for the fish and chips was tartar sauce. When I got to the restaurant, I somehow felt like they would have missed the malt vinegar so I specifically asked for a side of malt vinegar which they gave me, but then there was no tartar sauce. So honestly if I would have not requested the malt vinegar, sadly, there would have been no malt vinegar and no tartar sauce. At least I got the malt vinegar. Everything else was awesome and my to go experience today was finally the experience that I wanted to have with this restaurant."

"The food was great. Very tasty burger. The onion rings weren't quite the hype, but objectively still good. I had to go 5/5 on food. As for the service, waitress was rather dismissive of us. She sort of acted like she had better things to do or that we were getting better than we deserved. It was kind of odd. In the end she wasn't too bad though. I'd give it 4/5. Overall a good experience. Good atmosphere."

"Staff was friendly but feel food was overpriced for quality of what you received. I’ve had sub $10 burgers that were a lot better than this places $20 burger! Food was plated good and looks good, but lacking a whole lot of flavor. Didn’t feel like it was worth the price. Definitely a place to hangout and mingle more so than eat at."

"The place is very clean. It was our first time here. Good service, good food and drinks. I enjoyed the cherry blossom and lime hard seltzer and the loaded tator tots. The cowboy burger was pretty good. The steak kabobs were cooked well with a nice flavor. The wings were pretty good, I just wished they were cooked a little more well done. No complaints. I would recommend and I would be back. Our waitress was super nice and helpful."

"Stopped in for lunch with a friend. Sat at the bar, the bartender was fun and chatty which I love. It wasn't packed but it was definitely busy. My husband is not a mushroom fab so it was a treat to be dining with someone who loves them like I do! We started off with drinks and fried mushrooms, they were huge and so good. We were deciding on lunch and both torn between the Baby Bella Burger and the Hand Battered Chicken Tenders by suggestion from the bartender we ordered both and split it. The burger was so good and flavorful, I'm a no bun gal and the burger was still amazing, juicy and delicious. The Chicken Tenders were next level! Not only were they perfectly battered but huge! The order came with four and we each had one with our burger half. I am the lucky one who got to bring home the leftover tenders and fries. The fries are fresh and delicious. If you're out in the KC area this location was in Overland Park, go check them out. Do not sleep on this spot! Tons of beer choices and the food menu has something for everyone!"
