"A phenomenal experience on a recent business trip. Some airport rental locations offer a ridiculously bad selection in the Presidents Circle. This location I was able to walk right out and select a brand new GMC Denali. No issues whatsoever and the young guy who seems to always be at the return line is so energetic and helpful. Will continue to rent from this location."
"We were told by multiple employees that we were good to go at drop off, but no one actually closed out the rental. We started getting daily charges and called, and we were informed it had been closed and we'd see a refund in 24 hours. 4 days later, I received a bill for $490. When I called again, I was told a close request was never submitted, nothing can be done to pause the withdrawing of the $490, and that there is no proof of when I dropped off the car. So 3 different Hertz employees failed to do their jobs and now they're stealing $500 from me and I have to wait a week while they investigate and notify me if they're accusing me of stealing a car or not. Editing to update: their "investigation" came back and they decided we kept the car. They mysteriously picked a return date for us and stole their $500. I've been waiting for A MONTH for someone to return my email with any explanation of what was involved in the investigation, how they determined the return date, and what the process is to dispute further. Absolutely zero replies. So a simple "because we said so" is all they need to steal money from customers. Get your return receipt!!"
"Not a good experience. Wasn't able to go directly to my car. Gold Desk was closed, so I had to go to the line inside. Took too long to be helped. Person assisting me didn't recognize Gold level reservation until I mentioned it. Then, she directed me to the Gold desk, which was closed. Finally told to just choose my vehicle. I chose a vehicle, but then noticed that side windows and mirrors were dirty. Had to clean them when I could. There was a snow brush in the vehicle--in fact, there were two of them. But one was laying on the passenger seat, and melting snow caused a wet spot on the seat. On second day, I got a low tire pressure reading and I had to stop to add air. There was also a slight weird smell in the vehicle. I probably should have stopped and gotten a different vehicle, but with temperatures hovering at or below zero, I didn't want to have to spend additional time out in the cold checking other vehicles. I don't believe I'll rent from this Hertz location again. I'll give Avis a try."
"Rented a midsized SUV on 12/14/23. Received a compact SUV, and that is being generous. Left the parking lot and the key fob battery was low. Bought a new battery and replaced it myself. Returned the car on 12/19/23 before the time it was due back. Hertz kept charging my credit card $213 for some reason and to add insult to injury they said I brought the car back 3 days late! I paid more for HERTZ thinking the car quality and level of service would be better, nope! It’s back to Thrifty for me."
"THOMAS. IS. A. ROCKSTAR! Appropriate action would be a salute, a complimentary six-pack of some cold ones, and a truly commensurate pay raise. He made our check in a breeze for our Tesla. People like him made visiting a foreign land so damn enjoyable after a long day of travel—we all need a smiling and kind friend to see for help, and his service was just that, indeed. Cheers to you Hertz, and thank you for the experience so I could travel safely to my brother’s wedding!"
