"I saw this woman about 10 years ago. I had to stop seeing her because my insurance at the time only paid 50% of mental health treatment and I couldn’t afford it anymore. But while I was seeing her, she inspired me to reach higher and happiness was finally achievable to me instead of something that will come when I accomplish some feat or goal. She inspired me to conquer my fears- and years later she came to a book signing for my aunt and she told my mother that I was a shining star. When my mother told me that, I felt the inspiration all over again. She couldn’t write me med prescriptions, but she wrote a letter for my nurse practitioner to prescribe an antidepressant that she thought would help me. And it did. If you have the means to see her, by all means do it. She’s a genuinely happy person, and it’s contagious. She makes you want to create the life for yourself that you really want. I wish I could see her now."
