"I had an emergency at home project I had to do since my dogs puppies just started being able to get over the cage perimeter of pillows lol. I needed some hardware, but the only place open what is the feed store. Melvin answer the phone and said no I don’t Oscar is but come on buddy I will give you some screws. Got to the feed store at 4:57 PM, they close at 5. He gave me a bunch of screws, told me about some interesting products they had, and was honestly one of the coolest dudes I’ve ever met. He gave me samples of dog food, each sample is about 3 pounds of food and he gave me six of them to give to my dogs as the oil‘s in all of this big namebrand food that we buy is giving my German Shepherd skin problems with this humidity as we are not from here. Melvin was super cool, give me easily $50 worth of things from the food store for free. This is the a pitta me of a small hometown business owned people who truly care about you in all of your animals! They even have a cat that somebody a bandit in front of their store, literally dropped off. And Melvin decided to keep it around to stave off the rats around the feed store. It’s amazing once somebody taking an extra 10 minutes out of their day to have a good conversation with you can do to your attitude! I highly recommend the Slidell seed and feed store for all of your outdoor, landscaping And animal feed the business!!"
