"They promised my mother that she would be covered for her chemo therapy and even talked to her hospital about it so she started making large payments to them then on her first day of therapy they denied to pay for it and said her hospital wasnt in their system so they ran off with money we absolutely need and left my mom to die. Im so close to the edge with this company"

"It's truly sad that this company has a monopoly on the private or commercial health insurance market in Mississippi because they provide pathetic service for which they over charge. I have BCBS coverage through my state job. I find it appalling that the State of MS doesn't give a damn about the extreme costs it is incurring for such deplorable services. Please bring other insurers to the State."

"For the most part, I thought this was a good insurance company!!! My employer pays them good plus my portion every two weeks…. I’ve been waiting for 2 months for them to approved my infusions for my Crohns Disease since my last medicine has not been working. I’ve been in and out of the hospital since Oct/Nov of last year!!! These peopl denied me for my infusion because the medicine that was not working wasn’t filled any earlier this year! I called and told that was because I had plenty of extra I had been taking since the dosage change!! They still denied it so I guest they rather you die or run to the hospital every other week still running the insurance up than to provide the medication needed for a person that has been diagnosed with a disease for over 8 years now…. I wish I could give them a zero rating!! My last insurance approved it with no problem, but bcbsms wants to deny medicine that will help them and cost less than being in the hospital for 5 days at a time!!!"

"I would give a zero if possible. This is the worst insurance company ever. If you can go elsewhere do it. I have been trying to get them to pay a dental claim since December. The dentist called and has sent the claim the way they were instructed and they have sent paper as well. Every time I contact them they say they never received. I finally spoke with someone last month who gave me a fax number to send the claim to myself. He said give it at least a couple weeks and check back. It's been almost a month and I called today and was told they weren't showing anything and needed to call that department and would call me back. So far no call back. I wish my daughters dad would cancel the insurance so I could get her added to mine before October. This is ridiculous."

"If I could give them a negative star I would! BCBS of Mississippi sucks so bad! They denied my special needs 4 year old daughter liquid blood pressure medication. I have to crush up her pill and just hope she gets it all that way. After being on a medication for 7 years they wouldn’t cover it. Not even after having an allergic reaction to another one. I’ve had BCBS in other states and it was NEVER like this!!!!! If you have an option to go somewhere else, do so! Will be happy to switch soon!!!!!"
