"When I had an eye emergency issue several months ago, I was advised there were no appointments for 6+ weeks. As an RDH at KAFB, I couldn’t wait 6 weeks. I requested, in person, a credit on then recently received 2 boxes of unopened unused contacts purchased thru TriCounty, with 2 months remaining on a VALID 1 year prescription, until my eye issue could be resolved. I was advised by staff TriCounty was no longer a provider for my insurance and a credit was not their problem. The office manager and staff were rude, arrogant and unwilling to be flexible with a patient of several years. I contacted my credit card company, as promised, and my responsibility was resolved. My eye issue resolved on its own and I am delighted to say found another provider with a much nicer kinder more compassionate staff. TriCounty’s lack of concern and loss of a patient could have been handled in a more professional manner. Perhaps further updated training in patient communication would helpful to staff.
