"Wish I could give this place zero stars. People at the front desk are too lazy to call and verify ANY insurance information. Instead they tried to tell me I wasn’t insured because I wasn’t on the insurance card. Of course I called my insurance company and I most certainly did have insurance and got new cards digitally sent to me. I was even told by the insurance that they are to call and verify all information not just go by the card. Waste of time. I have been see here before and the NP was wonderful. This review is not based off of her skill or expertise in the medical field, strictly for the horrible front desk staff there."
"The M.A at the front desk named KARLIE is a HORRIBLE representation of this business! I brought my 4 yo son in who was in pain from an apparent UTI and mind you we arrived at the check in desk exactly at 8:29pm ( they close at 9:00pm). There was no sign in sheet because she had it behind the desk with her out of my reach. She then asks me in front of other patients in the lobby what was it he needed to be seen for, I quietly told her he was in a lot of pain & had been crying and uncomfortable from what seemed to be a UTI. She then stared at me blankly like she could care less and told me there was patients already in the back and they were unable to see my son because they closed it 30 minutes! I asked her so are you refusing to see my sick child? She rudely stated yes I’m refusing to see him!! She told me if I cared enough about his health I could take him to the ER down the street! At this point the conversation escalated and I asked to speak to someone else above her as far as a nurse or practitioner she said there was no one else above her and I went on to let her know I am a healthcare worker and I know you’re just a front office medical assistant and I no longer would like to talk to you! She went to get the nurse who came up to tell me I could call the complaint line. Once this nurse realized I knew my child’s rights as a patient she then slapped the clip board in front of me and told me I could fill the paperwork out and they would try to get to him! I told her I did not like nor was I comfortable with the way we were treated and I would be handling the situation accordingly! My innocent 4 yo child witnessed healthcare workers who are supposed to be kind and caring to him, treat him like he meant nothing at all by refusing him medical treatment he needed at the time! And YES I DO HAVE MOST OF THIS INCIDENT ON VIDEO RECORDING. KARLIE AND ABBEY I HOPE YALL SLEEP WELL TONIGHT!"
"I DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you want to be turned away due to the doctors needing to catch up on charting. Me and my son arrived a hour before closing and I let the assistant know that we both need to be seen. She then tells me that they are no longer checking in anymore patients(even though no other cars were in the parking lot and no one was in the waiting area but me and my son) due to them being two hours behind on charting and I was told to come back tomorrow. This is by far the most unprofessional thing I have heard someone say to someone in need of care. I see other reviews stating the same thing with this facility closing early, but yet this place is still open. That was my first and last time going to this urgent care!"
"I don't even want to give this clinic a 1 star. This was by far the most unprofessional urgent care I've stepped into. Not a single person was welcoming, front desk? Nope. MA? Nope. I even tried speaking to the MA about the AC being off in the lobby. Didn't even ask me anything about my daughter. Just took her temp and said "he will be in shortly" and I asked who is "he" not a single other question about why we were there or anything. We will not be back and I absolutely do not recommend. Alpha Care is the way to go!"
"If I could give this clinic a negative -100 out of 1 I would. Went here 2 days in a row (it was the weekend so my regular dr was closed) the 1st time I told Dr. Gibboney I was in horrific pain with my ear and throat. To the point I was crying. He was in the room a whole minute and in that minute all he did was look in my left ear and asked what pharmacy. Didn’t look in my other ear, didn’t look at my throat. Didn’t ask if I had any other symptoms, honestly didn’t even talk to me other than ask me what pharmacy as he was walking out the door!! Didn’t ask if I had any allergies. He could have prescribed me something I was allergic to for all he knew. I got my antibiotics and took them but by nighttime I was in horrible, horrible pain. I stayed up all night crying. No otc pain meds would touch it. The next morning I went back to Maxem clinic and there were no patients waiting to be seen. I thought the timing was perfect and I would have some relief shortly. NOPE! They took me in the back in a room AND FORGOT I WAS THERE. I was in that room over an hour and ended up calling them and asked if I had been forgotten about, the receptionist said “probably let me check” and hung up on me. I waited a extra 20 minutes and proceeded to call Singing River Clinc where they told me to come there and they would see me immediately. I left right that second. The woman dr that was working there and the receptionist watched me leave and didn’t say a word to me. I passed EMPTY patient rooms and waiting area going out the door. NEVER again am I coming back here! Once I was at Singing River I was seen and treated within 30 minutes of being there after filing out paperwork. They gave me 2 shots and 2 medications to treat my ear and throat and to stop the horrific pain I was experiencing! Whoever is over Maxem Clinic REALLY needs to clean house with its staff. Not friendly and extremely disrespectful and lacks empathy for its patients! Will definitely be making social media posts about my experience here to warn others to go some place else. Out of all the Dr’s there, Dr. Strange is the only one with any sense AT ALL."
