"I have been very pleased with my experience here. My insurance changed so I had to switch doctors and I prayed that God would direct me to the right doctor because I knew I needed to eventually have an hysterectomy. God answered my prayers, Dr. Hood is the best! I love that he explains everything in a compassionate way and listens. My procedure & healing process went better than expected. I have friends who had an hysterectomy months before I did by other doctors and they’re still having issues. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Hood. Great experience!"

"I went there a few years ago for a yearly. The nurse misunderstood or didn’t comprehend procedures that I had although I had the correct name and date of every procedure I’d ever had. The doctor comes in accusing that something is wrong with my labs and my cultures and I was confused because how would he know that when it was 1. My first time going there. 2. I had not released my medical records from my other clinic. I became defensive and he stated that I shouldn’t have been offended and defensive, which he has no right to tell me how I feel when he came out of nowhere with false accusations. I later found out that he added “irregular labs/cultures” to my record and when I tried to amend it, I kept getting the runaround until I just finally blocked the clinic’s number. Anywho, that is an experience I’d never forget. That appointment was a waste and I vowed to myself that I would find the right doctor for me. Knowing women of color are the most ignored in medical settings, I need someone that will listen and isn’t making accusations right away. If I could give no stars, I would. I’m not saying he is a bad doctor, he just wasn’t what I was looking for in a doctor."

"This dr was great all the way until right after I had my oldest daughter as of May 2020. My incision busted open Datchie argued with me and said I doubt it busted up my husband had to demand they see me. Hood looks at it takes a stitch out and goes just slap antibiotic on it you’ll be fine. Then when I got pregnant with my next baby he saw me a total of 4 times I kept having problems or was dismissed, he let students without my permission in the or room when I had my section and keeps me in there a hour and a half and my scar looked like a damn 3 year old did it. I will always go to Waddell now he’s a heaven sent. He delivered my last baby and fixed everything."

"This office use to be good but has declined in recent years. Looking for a new Dr Update: I told this office I would not be returning but they felt the need to send me a letter informing me they were cancelling me as a patient. I was nice with my review but honestly I would give them 0 stars if possible. They are dismissive when you ask questions, majority of the staff over the years have been rude and unpleasant since the original staff I started with, they never remember anything about me as a patient, never got to see the dr because they have gotten so many patients and I always had to see his practitioner. When I called to complain I was spoken to like my complaint didn’t matter, which seems standard for them at this point. I will gladly not be returning. My appt was cancelled back on February with no intention of returning and I only ever called to defend my child experiencing the same issues. There are plenty of OBs in my area and honestly this office’s responses to a complaint or concern says enough."

"This place is amazing. The staff is very respectful and friendly. Dr. Hood and his staff made my family and I very comfortable and welcome. Office visits was great every visit. After going through some many miscarriages Dr. Hood made it possible for me to carry my baby full term. Thank God for sending me to such an amazing and caring place. Without God and such caring and patience staff I wouldn’t be able to have had this beautiful and loving daughter who is now almost 2 years old. Thanks for the everything you have done and will continue to do I would recommend every woman to this place."
