"Definitely not worth what they charge. Not up to the normal Holiday Inn Express standard. The pool room was way too hot and stuffy. Plus they were running the pump in the pool with a cord going to the plug in a room Westside the pool. They don't really have any competition in this area, so I don't think they try too hard."
"Do not book here unless you want to end up stranded with no room. We booked a 2 queen bed suite with pullout couch (to sleep 6), weeks in advance of our trip directly on Holiday Inn’s website. After an 11 hour road trip in which multiple of my 4 young children got carsick we arrive at this Holiday Inn around 9 pm. My husband goes inside where a woman with bright red hair named Devin checks him in and gives him a key card to room 212. We unload all the kids and our luggage and get to the room to discover it is a one king bed room. Not only was it not the suite we booked, but there was not a single way all 6 of us could sleep in it. I go downstairs and speak to Devin who tells me she did not check anyone into room 212 and has no idea how we got up there. She insinuated that we must have checked ourselves in and gotten our own key? She finds the paperwork that she had my husband sign when he arrived and is completely confused still claiming she did not check him in. She then begs me to have my husband come back down because she did not get his ID or put a card on file for our room and she’s worried she is going to get in trouble with her manager. I ask if she’s going to put us in the correct room and she tells me no because they’re completely sold out that night. She then tells me I booked through Priceline (I did not) and that I booked for 2 adults (also not true). I tried to show her my confirmation email directly from HI where it lists all of the correct information but she’s not interested and doesn’t even look. She just wants our credit card to put on file. At this point my husband is back at the front desk and suddenly she does remember interacting with him but not checking him in (this was about 15 minutes after she had indeed checked him in). She calls her manager multiple times (her name was Marissa) whom we asked to speak with and was told “she doesn’t want to talk to you. Maybe she’ll call you in the morning”. At this point we’re told to either go sleep in the king bedroom, which I’m pretty sure would be against fire code as well as physically impossible for us, or leave before she called the cops. Never once did we get loud, rude or do anything but try to find a solution to the problem with two sick babies on our hips. We called another hotel and were able to get a room and left. 10 minutes after leaving I get a phone call from Devin asking if we are coming to check in for our reservation. She had NO idea that she was calling the people she had just told to either deal with our room or leave. After a moment she realizes we are the family that she just kicked out and says that she made a mistake and we DID in fact have a suite waiting for us at the hotel. She put us in the wrong room. She then tells me that we cannot come back and go to this room though because we had already entered the king room THAT SHE MISTAKENLY SENT US TO. She was also extremely condescending on the phone and still did not seem to know what was going on. We have been charged for the room at this holiday inn that we were not given when we arrived and told that we could not come back to and use. We have stayed at many Holiday Inns and are frequent travelers but never again will be booking with this chain after this experience. Being sent away with multiple exhausted, crying children because the could not do their job correctly and were not willing to listen to us and double check our information is inexcusable. Both Devin and Marissa have no business working in hospitality. We should have known the moment we arrived and saw the “please leave” plaque they have sitting on the front desk facing guests."
"Awesome great experience with this hotel while visiting family in the area. Customer service was absolutely the best and the rooms were nice and comfortable. The grandkids had a little splash time in the pool. We will book again when in the area. Blessings for the NEw Year!"
"I had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn recently, and I must say that the experience was exceptional. The level of service provided was truly remarkable, and the staff Amanda and Caroline were outstanding in their professionalism and attentiveness. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and welcoming stay. It certainly deserves a five-star rating."
"Best hotel in all of Picayune. We need more like it in our town. It was great for our little staycation. Clean rooms, nice beds, and super nice staff. Not sure if Homecoming night crowd was more than they anticipated, but breakfast was hard to get. The kitchen staff was very apologetic but I was perfectly happy to go elsewhere for breakfast, because I was hungry and didn't want to wait. Overall very nice stay with plenty of amenities."
