"No issues. You can't beat the stay and play value. $100 per person, includes one night, a round of golf, and a breakfast item. Ms. Vicksburg ( didn't catch her name) was great checking us in. Very informative. Only complaint would be breakfast wasnt available until 9am. You could drive to Delhi for Burger King, but we just started our round and got the breakfast on the turn. Thanks for a good time!"

"We had made reservations at Black Bear Lodge and when we arrived we were turned away because i had a medical alert service dog. They said no pets. I tried to explain that my service dog was a not a pet. He was my lifesaver and that the federal disabilities act mandates that a service animal cannot be refused access to any place. It’s difficult enough being handicapped without someone breaking federal law and slapping you in the face for it. I spoke to the owner, Brandi, over the phone and she stated that this was Louisiana and she could do anything she wanted and federal law didn’t matter. She didn’t care that there were no rooms available within 50 miles and that we might have to sleep out on the street. We had to drive to Vicksburg where we finally found one room available at Best Western. The staff at Best Western was extremely helpful and kind. Please don’t give your business to Black Bear Lodge. In all fairness it is a lovely facility but very thoughtless and uncaring owners. They don’t care if they insult you, make your life already harder than it is being handicapped or even break the law. Oh, and I asked about refunding my money and was told I would have to talk to the owner when she got back from Las Vegas next week. You refuse to give me a room and I don’t know when I’m going to get my money back? So you keep my money, too? L"

"Took granddaughter to get away from the city, she absolutely loved this place! We did look for bears, none this trip but will go back.and try again. Brenda is one of the sweetest people you will meet! Owner was very helpful and pleasant. We have told many friends and coworkers about this treasure and all are excited about going. I also recommend eating at the Champions Bistro!!! Next door to lodge, very delicious and worth the drive."

"Stayed here after burying my grandmother. Mrs. Brenda was wonderful and accommodating. We didn’t reserve online I called the after hours numbers and she handled everything in a timely manner. The property is peaceful and the rooms were clean and made you feel at home. My family had most of the rooms except one and we all including that family sat around the pool talking until we heard an unfamiliar noise and went in. Yes they don’t call it black bear lodge for nothing. But the kids were all excited about that. We will be going back."
